Miro: effective tool, but a lot of room to grow
What do you like best about the product?
I like the collaborative nature of Miro the best. Being able to see where my team members are focused is helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the connection does not stay stable, and it can be difficult to follow changes. Also, a there is no centralized area that I see that shows all the comments on a board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are moving to Miro from Visio to allow a more collaborative design experience with the team and our stakeholders. It serves as the focal point for meetings and helps facilitate discussion.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand its limitations as a primarily web tool. There is a desktop application, but it does not offer more than the web tool.
Miro has become my primary tool that I use on a daily basis
What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro to organise, plan and collaborate on various initiatives with cross-functional colleagues both synchronously and asynchronously. Especially important is the infinite canvas, which means I can sketch ideas out quickly, import or link together disparate resources and operate at different levels from an overview to detail in seconds. No other tool I have used in the market enables this speed and ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Sometimes I run into issues when moving hundreds of elements around the board - it can freeze up on me and become laggy.
2. It can be really easy to break the table when working with a lot of elements in cells - especially when moving them between cells.
3. I'd like more control of how elements are linked when copying content between boards.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been leading design thinking and user-centered design projects to help cross-functional teams build vision and solve strategic challenges. The benefits are better remote collaboration and alignment between cross-functional stakeholders.
Collaborate Virtually
What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can essentially whiteboard, collaborate with multiple team members, build within a single environment, and have the ability to help "visual learners" work together in a virtual/remote world.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems a little pricey to collaborate with large teams, and some of the features are available within MS Teams. There is also a learning curve because switching between moving and highlighting gets a bit chaotic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating with others in a team environment. Having a working document that others can come in and collaborate with on their own time before a meeting. You're able to create the board and share the work in progress with leaders who are trying to understand the logic of how you got to the decision. You're able to help visual learners like me see what you mean.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate who needs access and how to collaborate with your entire team. Also, make sure you take advantage of Miro's training. They have a great pre-recorded series.
Great tool for collaborate!
What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely helpful to have a platform like Miro to work in collaboration with teammates that are working from home. We usually use the boards to help us with the organization in day-to-day meetings, and also to perform internal and external workshops.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that I am really used to working with different tools like Photoshop, Figma, Illustrator... I don't usually know the shortcuts. But I don't see it as a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro really helps with visualizing the ideas, problems, concepts, and workflow. So I think it helps us to communicate and collaborate better, in a fun and productive way.
Miro Project Planning - How can we compare Miro to other Project Planning software's in the market
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Miro Software, and some of the main benefits are creating User Journeys, real-time interactions, creating templates and graphs quickly; Easy to move objects to organize; Easy to import outside media, and Versatile content formats, among others!
Also Miro can be used as an Idea Management Software that is great and hence its a multi-faceted software in this regard

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the points about Miro that I dislike are: not having the ability to divide a large board into zones, rather than make multiple zones ; more connections to other tools like Jira; photo editor tools can be better incorporated and offline focus can also be got ; overall if there can be integration with Teams or Slack that would be great too
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used Miro as a Project Management ; Collaboration and Idea Management tool - we have been able to get diversified teams together and brainstorm on project plans and Ideas
This is led to great team collaboration especially in the WFF environment

One of the best interactive planner/project wall softwares I've gotten to play with
What do you like best about the product?
the easy useability
Being able to drop in templates and add notes and rearrange is fantastic, then little extra's like timers and music etc are very cool
I particularly like the wireframes and templates pre-loaded

I haven't really found anything just yet, so I can't say
Perhaps some abilities to convert maps to PDF would be useful - not sure if that is already in there though.

The joys of an excellent application
What do you like best about the product?
When initially presented with Miro, I had a lot of ideas for using the application, and it did everything we needed for our business; plus more. The use cases for the application are extensive, and the thourough thought to each and every feature is truly refreshing. I have taken its use deeper into our business, sharing links with customers for their comments around our project planning and internal product releases. Beyond that, I use it for my educational studies and it continues to entrench into my daily workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not as ubiquitous as other platforms, and on scaling up, if not used efficiently by the team, it could start to cost a bit more. But apart from that, it is everything that we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have found that it solves internal development workflows, mind mapping meetings, marketing pathways, and a clear process structure. The benefits keep opening up to us, day by day.
Kerri's Review
What do you like best about the product?
I love the UX/UI of the product - it is so simple to use and beautiful to showcase boards and maps. I haven't started to integrate it yet, but have just imported the plug-in for Slack and Google Cal. The ability to collaborate in real-time is hugely important.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are 2 things: 1) This one is really big for me (and it appears like it is big for others too) - I am unable to download the data from a mind-map while preserving the heirarchical parent-child structure. It just dumps into a list. So the mind map is not a FUNCTIONAL map, it is a drawing tool. 2) I don't like that you can't close out the little "where you are at" map in the right hand corner. It gets in the way of things when I'm presenting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to collaborate in real time; it aids in being remote and not having to be in person and drawing on "large stock paper taped to the walls"; it helps with easily creating beautiful workflows. With my small team in using it, other people in my company have wanted to use the platforms as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be creative, use the templates to help you understand the extent of this product, etc.
Miro has helped in brainstorming dynamics, enabling an easy and dynamic interaction between teams
What do you like best about the product?
real-time interaction
tools that resemble the real world like post-its cards, pens and images
easy usability
good range of tools to customize dynamics
modern interface

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I get lost between the screens of stages in the dynamics and I need to zoom out to follow the step by step.
Maybe it could have an area indicating which step the person was on and what would be the next
Maybe it could have an area indicating which step the person was on and what would be the next
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was a practical way to participate in workshops and exchange ideas with people from very different locations. It saves time and makes the process more organized and is a great recording tool for further research.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
See and understand all the tools that are available to help you.
Very good, I can plan a lot better
What do you like best about the product?
I can create processes in an organized way, and plan my workflow better, scoring mistakes and successes for future improvements. And also think better about brainstorming
What do you dislike about the product?
So far there's nothing I don't like, I think it's intuitive and very simple to understand. I can put all the flow of ideas, eliminate or choose which ones are better for us to move forward and we can create the pieces, know as a group what's cool or not about something
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization, I managed to create a workflow, I've also used it to be able to hold a meeting and point out what people were feeling about the company, and what they thought was cool or not in the process we have
