Miro the best collaboration tool for remote meeting!

  • December 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to have a large group of people on the board collaborating at the same time. I have everything in Miro from presentation to collab space.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything I dislike. The tool just keeps getting better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Group, remote collaboration is the problem. I used it when I was working at a company when COVID started and, it enabled us to go online easily. Now I use it at my own company for workshopping.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I use it to import my slides and present between slides and collaboration. Makes it an engaging meeting. Survey results from my session average 4.7/5 when using this tool. Everyone loves the experience.

A great option to organize your ideas

  • December 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is helpful and very easy to learn how to use. I use it in my daily tasks, organize ideas, and run my scrum routines with my team. The free version is very complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be a little hard to move the board when you're only using the touchpad. It keeps zooming in or out when I just need to go to the right or go up etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our retros are a lot more fun. The whole team can now participate and add postits and move the items around. We also use the board to create flowcharts of our tasks before developing them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give big names for your flowcharts when you create them because you get addicted to it, and then you have a thousand flowcharts on a board and almost can't find anything.

    Computer Software

Jack of All Trades Tool

What do you like best about the product?
The frame templates allow for quick and easy replication of frames.
The open whiteboard concept is something that resonates with me, as someone that always needs to have everything laid out in front of me for a project.
The ability to assign boards to a project is excellent, too.
The boards are automatically being saved, which is helpful. The Export to PDF feature works like a charm, as well. I was very impressed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to select numeric coordinates within a frame to ensure images and letters lined up appropriately. That is one of the things that I love most about other tools that we use for slide decks, like Pitch and Google Slides.
There are times when the automatic frame alignment can act oddly. I wish I could select whether I wanted to use vertical, horizontal, or freeform alignment when working with multiple frames.
I wish I could create multiple folders within a Project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can create onboarding plans and Success Plans for our customers. The ability to create graphs of standard operating procedures is something else that we've been able to do.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a tool that gives you lots of freedom, then choose Miro. Images maintain their quality, the customization is top-tier, and the ability to export PDF and share boards with customers and colleagues is incredible.

Miro has allowed our team to share workflow and journey maps in a way that generates consensus and understanding of complex issues and topics.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve involved in using the platform, but the Miro team provides excellent support and resources. Once you get the hang of it, you are hooked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow and visualization of customer journeys and workflows typically.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro has allowed our team to share workflow and journey maps in a way that generates consensus and understanding of complex issues and topics.

Easy to use to capture ideas.

What do you like best about the product?
The different templates and examples can be used to alter, adapt and recreate so easily. Having users in the Miro Community share their designs has been very helpful both in learning the program and deconstructing how the preview template was created.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have sometimes needed to print the board, and I have not had quite the result on the screen. Probably more my training at this stage of use so would like to see some training around getting the most out of publishing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboratively trying to strategize, coordinate information around complex processes to present information with others. Collaborating with others to share the task and create a common focus has been of great benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the different templates to help organize information. By using a different template for similar purposes, I have been able to gain new insights into the task.

A Simple, Powerful Platform That Makes Collaboration Fun and Easy

  • December 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The range of options for templates, free-form production of materials, and the ability to engage people easily with little training are the most important aspects of the software. My clients are busy and not inclined to do much onboarding for software and they consistently love using Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
The navigation of the panel can be awkward. I find that those working from small screens or not accustomed to 'zooming in and out' find the canvases can be daunting to navigate at times. This is among the only issues I have with the plaform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This allows me to do active collaborative faciltiation with clients at a distance. It replaces much of what I used to do face-to-face, however, it also allows me to do so much more than I could before.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've used many different tools and this is the best of the bunch when it comes to collaborative software. The addition of community templates adds so much value.

Miro collaborative tool review

  • December 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think Miro is one of the best collaborative tools for several reasons: it enables you to communicate visualy your ideas, invite others to join in, and collaborate, thus allowing you to reach faster to alignment inside of the team and increase accountability of team members. I have created many roadmaps that were easy to understand by everyone, and during meetings, we all edit the board's content, making our meetings more engaging and fun.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing particular that I dislike from Miro. Maybe the fact that they do not offer Discord integration. But they do provide Slack integration, which, to be fair, is more used in the business world.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I created projects and product roadmaps with my teams, and it was very easy to identify the dependencies, risks, and impact of each deliverable. It was also easy to assign each deliverable to a team member, so everybody is aware of their impact and responsibility.

Love Miro for virtual consulting workshops

  • December 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The navigation and interaction/collaboration capabilities are top-notch, as are the boards and sticky note flexibility. The timer and music are handy to ensure we stick to schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inviting clients (i.e. not colleagues) to collaborate in a meeting who don't have an account was tricky but seems to have been improved more recently. Sharing could also be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Literally, I am solving the challenge of running workshops and meetings virtually, which Miro makes so much easier. Day to day, my challenge is running analytics research and design workshops.

Versatile and easy to use collaboration whiteboard

  • December 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Usability, collaboration tools for teams / whiteboard members, flexibility tu use the tool for different mapping and process design purposes in a team. Performance as a cloud tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Options and alternatives to download whiteboard content and extract and reuse in other formats or tools (at least as far as I know the tool as a user trying to move an extract of your whiteboard to other presentation tools. Maybe you could enhance integration options with other cloud tools (i.e. as Trello does).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Speed up communication process. Share an interactive collaboration space for cross team design and definition processes. Fast adopted tool by different user level and high acceptance as a common workspace in cloud.

For me, for my team, for my company

  • December 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can be as wild or structured as I need it. I can brainstorm alone and go nuts till my thoughts make sense, or prepare a workshop that follows a step-by-step agenda.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the arrows get in my way when I want to drag something. Especially for colleges that are not as firm, this can be an annoyance. The wireframing is handy but has a learning curve, especially the phone, tablet, and desktop frame.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It´s my place for collaboration. It`s like a whiteboard where everyone can draw (with shapes, icons, and wireframing components), and all can stand close to it at once. No one is in each other way anymore.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If there is a home office involved in your work, definitely give it a try. Invite a colleague to experience how you can work together. The first thing I would advise anyone to do on a board is to grab a post-it, write something on it and move it around. With that, you can already do a lot.
