Amazing collaboration tool

  • August 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
MIro's templates, both user-created and built-in, are great! Visually organizing ideas and work information is far better for my brain than simply writing it down. I also enjoy sharing boards with others. It's fun to see others collaborating in real-time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro has a bit of a learning curve that makes it difficult to get other non-Miro users on board quickly. Despite the many ice-breaker activities and exercises, it can still take a fair amount of time to get new users comfortable with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to organize and ideate workshops for my business as well as share ideas. It has been fantastic for sharing information with my friends and business partners.

Perfect space for consultants running virtual workshops

  • August 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm a consultant running strategic workshops. Since 2020, for obvious reasons, I have switched to virtual workshops. I can create separate spaces for break-out sessions. It was critical I have control over who can access whiteboards. With the Consultant Plan, I can control who can view the boards and who can collaborate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to see better functionality in giving edit rights to collaborators. If I have a list of 30 people, I need to do that one by one
I cannot create templates that I could use across different accounts (Consultant Plan) . The template is saved under one account. Then I have to create a new board or duplicate and then move to another account. It should be more straightforward!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a consultant running strategic workshops. With Miro, I can create separate spaces for break-out sessions and control over who can access whiteboards.

Quite useful but faced difficulties get started

What do you like best about the product?
I found two most potent and valuable features of Miro, and they are:
1. Our team can create various boards and work on them together, virtually and in the most productive way possible.
2. We can also conduct live chat or video sessions and discuss any projects we work on together, making us aligned and intact.
What do you dislike about the product?
As per my experience, getting started with Miro can be pretty challenging and even confusing in some cases due to its overwhelming features and functionalities. Rather than adding so many features all at once, I think they should refine each of them to better user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All-in-all, Miro has been a wonderful experience for me. It has become my one-stop tool for brainstorming, documenting ideas, and collaborating more visually. It gives the impression that our entire team is working together in an actual workspace because we can conduct live text, audio, and video sessions simultaneously.

Ideate, plan, collaborate and communicate in real-time

  • August 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I greatly admire the wide variety of features Miro offers. From creating a business model canvas to mind maps, everything is possible with Miro digital board as it also has a category-wise library of pre-built templates. Apart from that, our team can work together from anywhere and on any device, as it is cross-platform compatible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Through Miro also has the diagramming and sketching feature, it is pretty limited and is not like other more advanced and flexible tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Freehand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To summarize, I have a better experience with Miro. It is not merely a digital board; rather than it's an entire workspace for a team working on visuals, plannings, brainstorming, and idea validation. I've realized the huge advantage it is for our whole team to communicate in real-time while collaborating virtually through this software.

One stop shop for collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
Unlimited templates and canvas to help us. Community with experts in Miro is another major highlight along with Miroverse where we will be able to browse for infinte templates which suits for your day to day work life. Also all team members can come together at a single point of time and work without any hassles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only three boards for a free account plan ;)
People accidently create free account eventhough our team have a enterprise account and then they will start creating boards in this free account. At the end it will be chaos.
Option of all projects/boards visible to team admin could be a good point to consider, so that he/she can migrate boards within the projects without any dependency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration with team members becomes easy with the help of Miro. We now use Miro for all our project planning, tracking, and feedback collection.

Perfect tool for individuals and teams to bring ideas to life

  • August 17, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
MIro offers a range of pre-built templates or the ability to build your ideal board. I like to think of it as a digital whiteboard with all the trimmings you need to map concepts and visualize the ideas stuck in your brain. It offers a collaborative space for people to give input, for you to share, and also can serve as a perfect backdrop to running workshops - critical in our digital work from home environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's challenging to speak with Miro's customer service and gain individual access when working in a large organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to visualize ideas, strategize for my team, and collate information. It has saved me a lot of time when compared to trying to build something similar in PowerPoint or slides, and I often copy what I've done externally to presentations.

Excellent tool for productive collaboration

  • August 17, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
I love the dynamic nature of working with others in Miro. We can see structures emerge through our interactions. It's a whole new way of working for me. One of the good things that's come from my experience of home working during the Covid-19 pandemic is exposure to new tools; Miro is the only tool I have found which I feel gives me new capability, rather than a pale replacement of something I can do IRL. I love Miro, and I intend to make it a part of my research, collaboration, planning and teaching in the future. I imagine that when we return to face-to-face interaction, having real time access to this tool while we all communicate live will be hugely productive.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, we're having some issues with the academic licence which makes it hard for us to roll out use of Miro across the whole organisation. I think this is just teething troubles, and the Miro customer support have been very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most useful for collaborative ideation and knowledge capture.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it!

Powerful board for digital workshops and collaboration

  • August 16, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Top functions:
- excellent digital version of a workshop done in a meeting room -> options to work silently (bulk notes), options to work together, ... It really makes me feel as if I was in the meeting room, even though we all connect from home
- easy to keep an overview even if multiple people are working on the document at the same time, adding own ideas, and contributing to points that others have published
- the tool seems to impress when we have joint sessions with external clients

Besides the whiteboard with sticky notes, the tool also enables to put in pictures, text boxes, tables, so it can replace also some other document tools, when collaboration is of a higher importance than document formatting, availability to print etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro takes a while to get used to, and even then it can happen that a person by accident moves or deletes something that should not be changed. Luckily there is the undo function to fix these right away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is regularly supporting our team meetings where we need to work collaboratively in a workshop, or work on a topic together over an extended period of time.

Miro has everything I need in one place.

  • August 16, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is the most complete tool for me, it has everything I need and more. I don't think any other tool has the same features as Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
Google Images plugin isn't working as it used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with design, so I use it for collaborating with colleagues and clients. With Miro, I can centralize all I need in one single place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You won't regret choosing Miro, it's an awesome tool that will help you a lot in your daily activities. It has a lot of different plugins to install and use to facilitate your day by day. I use it every day and have nothing to complain about. You can check it out and try it by yourself. The more you use it, the more you will love it. If you want to collaborate with others and centralize your links, documents, and discoveries, Miro is the right thing for you. Using Miro is very easy, and it is always getting better with new features and plugins appearing all the time. I tried other whiteboard tools and I can say that they don't have the same features as Miro has. It is a working tool that is also very fun to use, everything is very intuitive, so you always know where to find the features you need. The odds are that if you need a feature, Miro will have it to offer to you. Try it by yourself and you will understand what I am talking about, you will get addicted to Miro, LOL.

Miro is Visio on steroids

  • August 15, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The upsides of using Miro are collaborating live on the virtual whiteboard to create a chart or diagram. I've used other programs, and real-time synchronous collaboration is not as they say it is. I like the fact that there are many templates of diagrams to choose from and a good set of training videos to help you along the way.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX is rather cluttered. For someone who has expert use in other collaborative software, initially, there is lots to figure out i.e., how to share the whiteboard, how to get help, what all the buttons and functions do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating storyboards for online learning collaboratively. Also, the opportunity to share ideas virtually with a geographically disparate team is useful synchrounously.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro has myriad ways of drawing charts and diagrams, and with that, you can collaborate with peers, so all the better.
