Great experience with Miro

What do you like best about the product?
It's a very intuitive and colaborative tool, that even the least experienced people in our team can easily learn. It's great to be able to share documents that everyone can work on and edit in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many templates to work from, which is great, but most of the time I usually go with a blank one to start from. That being said, I find it hard to look for templates that ajust to my needs (but maybe I just need to look more into it?).
One other thing ir that I would like to costumize the size of the sticky notes,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need to have a collaborative tool where everyone can work on, share and discuss ideas at the same time. It's very quick to open and work from, even with more people working on the same document. That way, we can be having remote calls while everyone is working on Miro, and not be sharing the screen to show some specific document (that helps with connection issues and the trouble of having to not down ideas from everyone, as each person can write down their own inputs).

Miro was able to save my time and help me to interact with our designers in whole new way.

What do you like best about the product?
It helps me to create flow very fast and with little effort. I guess quickly adding blocks and connected them. Temples and shapes. It's a lot easier compare to Figma that I used to use for this sort of thing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would have been great if there was a button transfer ownership; I've spent 10 minutes figuring out where it is. Sometimes there are a few glitching when I invite users to the board with email, and sometimes when using google chrome, miro doesn't open at all, so I had to reopen it with safari.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At our company, we do our ideas with miro. It's amazing how quickly we can create a user journey. While we used to spend hours on whiteboarding, now 10 people simultaneously can work and get fast results.

Miro, an excellent platform to improve your team work

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is helpful for team work because it allows your team to be working at the same time in the same board. Further, you can communicate with your coworkers by chat or video call. Moreover, there are sticky notes and diagrams available, which facilitate work. Also, Miro sends you mails about your teams work at an specific board.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to find downsides in Miro, since it is a great tool. I cannot find any.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is helping me to organize my coworkers, since it allows everyone to see what are we working on, avoiding confusion and work to be done twice. Further, charts can be made on everyone's tasks, which has increased my team performance because everyone does what is supposed to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is your best choice, you will learn easily how to use it, just have to read each instruction and navigate in the boards.

A amazing tool to replace Visio, LucidChart and drive great Jam Sessions

  • November 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is difficult to say what I love the most about Miro. I started by using the MindMap diagram but IMO it really shines at driving efficient Jam sessions. It can handle effortlessly 10+ users. We've used it successfully to do Domain Driven Design for large systems. I think that they've nailed down the keyboard shortcuts: they are intuitive and allow to speed up data entry vs other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Things work very nicely in Miro but occasionally I've noticed a drop in performance when the diagrams get very large. Miro could also have better support of tags, for example by providing a search capability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
* MindMap done right
* JamSessions & collaborative whiteboarding at scale

Collaborative and interactive tool

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to have multiple people collaborate in one space - have used it previously in a lot of workshops and team retros, and it's so useful to surface everything so quickly and easily
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me a while to get used to it - most of the icons and symbols are quite intuitive, but it takes a while to find out everything you can do. When I'm working or my laptop screen only I find it difficult sometimes to drag, drop, enlarge, etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it once a week with my team for our retro and a couple of times monthly on cross functional workshops where we are looking to get together and solve some issues
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch some videos about it or ask how other people use it/tips and tricks

Project management made easy

What do you like best about the product?
I can create a multitude of different boards from Mind Maps, Brainstorming, Kanban Frameworks, Flow charts. There are plenty of templates you can choose from so it really assists you when you don't know where to being. It's super visual and has some create designs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't been able to find any yet, but that is probably because there is so much you can do on it that I just haven't discovered what I dislike. Right now I can say I don't have any.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro to organise our projects so we get an accurate feel of when these will be completed, as well as who is responsible for those tasks. We have used it to help create a flow charts for training purposes and to allow the management team to have a board to brainstorm ideas.

Miro is one wonderful lethargy killer for me

What do you like best about the product?
The wide variety of graphics shapes texts and the ease with which all of them flow together is amazing.
I am surprised how they pulled it all together. I was using MindMeister before, but even Miro was expensive I migrated
myself as none of the other tools are even closer
What do you dislike about the product?
Really nothing so far. I wish they could integrate a To-Do list or Kanban board with the scheduling of the task. It will be a complete suite then. But the amount of template it has makes you not feel anything missing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From documents to scheduling everything. I have used it to build a schedule for my recent upgrade project, and I realized it is too friendly than wasting a lot of hrs on excel.

A brilliant way to collaborate and Ideate visually simultaneously

  • November 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's collaboration live between team members. There is no saving needed so you can just focus on doing the work. It's also super easy to follow other people's screens as they present which I find really handy!
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a sandbox to develop in it's easy for untrained users to mass post in an unorganised way making the boards visually cluttered. The templates are also a bit basic with no guidance on how to adapt them for your own use case. It would be great to be able to create your own template. Currently we copy paste one in as a hack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use miro to rationalise complex flows of processes into a easy to follow format. The main use case tho is documenting work and being able to annotate it in a collaborative forum. It's made real life workshops digital! It's great!

Miro is my preferred tool for "the new normal" hybrid workshops

  • November 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use of the UI. Whenever I bring new people to the tool, they don't take too long to use it efficiently. It is pretty intuitive, and I like it in general for workshops.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly appreciate that it uses too many resources. If you are on battery while using Zoom (which already uses a big chunk of energy) and Miro simultaneously, it will drain the battery really fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it mainly to perform workshops with groups from 5 to 20 users. The users are both internal and external.
I get a Zoom meeting with all and then divide the people in breakout rooms, then assign different areas of the board to teams. This has helped a lot to have good feedback from people enjoying the activities while still being effective.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is a specially useful tool when trying to bring people together to collaborate virtually. Though, I've also used it as a central repository where all documentation of processes and results are added. The nice thing is that after a workshop is done in Miro the same board is handy to work through the results and create a report. So the board becomes both the place where things happen and a repository of results. I can then share it with stakeholders with comment access so they can review what has happened and what is coming next.

Makes our distributed team work effortlessly

  • November 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows me to think naturally. With slides you spend too long moving things around and resizing. With docs you have a very predefined structure. Miro allows me to work in the chaotic way that my brain does, expanding in any direction that I need to. I can quickly add things to an overall board that keeps some semblance of structure but is also easy for others to read and understand.

We use Miro as a team for our roadmaps, product discovery, values workshops, and monthly retros. It's flexible and fun to work with. And brings our distributed team together in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it to be possible to have everyone follow my mouse when leading a workshop. Maybe this is there but I haven't found it just yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to easily work together on a topic of problem, even when we're not in the same location together.
