A useful tool for social listening and insight about brands and consumers

What do you like best about the product?
The analysis provided by the site in terms of keywords, high-frequency dates, being able to compare different searches to understand which brands are "winning on social" for a particular topic.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to see more social channels included beyond Twitter, but I know this is something the team is looking to build on in the future. It would also be great to be able to search posts for audience, e.g. sorted by demographic information - I know you can do this on Brandwatch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to gain insights about consumer behavior on social media about the brands I work on and make recommendations to improve post performance for my clients

I would recommend it - its a useful tool

- Clean, clear UI
- Simple to use
- Number of available charts
- Professional customer and technical support
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing found so far. Useful to keep growing the amount of sources that Meltwater can scrape.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Hearing the voice of the customer and plan online interaction with our customer base.
- Ability to receive product feedback, both positive and negative from independent sources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take a trial to see if the tool meets your requirements.

What do you like best about the product?
- Clients find the audience mapping data very impressive and easy to understand
- It is very good for scanning social media
- Useful across different markets and languages
What do you dislike about the product?
- Often the webpage can be slow to load or show an error message, the support team are always very helpful though
- Sometimes the page refreshes itself and forgets the dates or filters you have already selected which is frustrating
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-It helps us to keep up to date with all the relevant news for our industry and clients

talk to the team when you have issues or questions, they are very helpful

What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which you can use the tool, how intuitive it is.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is an area of opportunity when adding filters to better delineate those issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to read what people think about our brands has helped us understand what can be improved, propose better strategies, and know what is being done well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This platform allows you to monitor your brand, understand the sentiment people have about it, find areas of opportunity, and highlight what you are doing well.

Good experience working with the tool

What do you like best about the product?
The user experience is so good, it´s intuitive, and working with social listening is easy for everyone includes people without experience in data. I used other tools for this work and meltwater is one of the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that maybe could be better if the social listening can read the APIS from Facebook and Instagram. I know that is hard to do that but if this could be possible I can use the tool for all mi work and isn't necessary to switch with different tools to work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hahaha ive been talking about this in the 2 questions before. I'm using this tool to work in social listening in different brands and this is important to create new ideas based on what people think about the product or brand.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Practicing different ways to use the tool is fantastic and you can do whatever you want.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use platform, guidance in platform is useful/quick to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes sentiment a bit off but know this is common across lots of social listening tools
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clients are usually very interested in benchmarking vs competitors/also the alerts are useful for reactive/rep management
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the set up session to align to current businesses uses, also we have had some issues with certain urls not showing coverage so make sure keeping an eye on this

General searching on topics and understand conversations
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of Instagram data, can be frustrating when social data is limited to Twitter

Understand what conversations are on topics, key words, who is talking about them etc

Meltwater is a powerful tool, but it's not easy to weed out irrelevant information sometimes.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to adjust widgets and build dashboards, and fairly intuitive. It pulls in a lot of information quickly and helps compare across different metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
It often pulls information that's irrelevant, despite working with reps to refine search terms. It also doesn't cover all social platforms that well, so we know the information isn't totally complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to get a pulse on conversations happening around our clients and their respective industries and competitors. It gives us a real look at how we're faring, as well as what's trending that we couldn't have found otherwise.

What do you like best about the product?
Access to every mention on Twitter, fast loading, and easy organization. These things make it very easy for ongoing crisis management. Also great support from the meltwater team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Other competitors provided more information about the audience making the mentions. Such as gender, age, and other things. A few competitors also were able to provide more Facebook and IG mentions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do weekly social listening reports for brands to monitor negative comments. We use it to research users opinions of brands. We have been able to turn these into weekly reports for clients
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is excellent for monitoring and understanding the volume of mentions but not excellent at telling you who is making the mentions.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. Very user friendly interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was more prominently shown when a post fails to post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to post in real-time, I can plan out my social media calendar for multiple channels.
