The product has been an invaluable rescource that helps keep track of major event campaigns.
What do you like best about the product?
The daily reports in my Inbox as well as event recaps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like there to be more of a broadcast monitoring element, particularly with television news coverage
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving return on investment with key public relations campaigns. The morning reports as well as the keyword event recaps help justify budgets and aid in increasing them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Would like to have print reporting as well as broadcasts. Online reporting is beneficial but doesn't paint the entire picture.
Meltwater is pretty good for what it does, but has some shortcomings.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the international variety of articles we see. I like the translation feature and the ability to quickly scan for key words and phrases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Outputting data and summaries can be a bit confusing. Also, in order to see more coverage we would need an upgrade to see more media. So, it's in no way all encompassing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping our internal team informed of the coverage our PR (traditional & social) are receiving.

Media Directory - I like the social media added to reporter profiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
The media directory is not always up to date -- Reporters left, fired or died. It is difficult to navigate and go back and forth -- sometimes oftentimes I have to start searches over -- it is difficult to find lists I created. It would be nice to have a dashboard to find and click on everything I need. Your mobile site is limiting. I wish I could look up reporters on the fly. I thought your representatives at the PRSA event were not interested and not engaging. i went up to them, identified myself as a customer -- and not even a thank you or how do you like the product - I guess they would anticipate what I would say.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am helping my clients get in or stay out of the media.

Its' the best of the rest -- None are perfect or superior but this one is the most reliable

Ease of listening and responding in real time, Email alerts for negative post clusters, Monthly reports
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like You Tube, Instagram included in monitoring and post scheduling, would like one dashboard for social and PR monitoring rather than two separate logins.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater Monthly Pulse reports provide attractive and easy graphs and illustrations to roll-up to executive team. Frees up my time and my team's time that would have been spent creating a presentation each month.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good source for media searches to far corners of the earth. ecognize the media industry is changing and automated systems are working to keep up. Some of the more elite publications are in accessible, but the volume of media hits captured is impressive -- goes long way toward making up for it.

Great experience using meltwater!
What do you like best about the product?
The news agents/feeds and monitoring are incredibly useful to us, as there is a lot happening in our industry. It's helpful to be able to easily stay on top of what's going on.
What do you dislike about the product?
The press release distribution can be a bit quirky sometimes, in that the formatting when using the old digital release system would skew the formatting. Using the order forms for the new system is alright, but it would be helpful to get a digital interface back, so I don't have to rely on a combination of a Meltwater and MarketWired rep to get releases transmitted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Meltwater routinely for monitoring media mentions on all sorts of things, from our senior leadership, mentions about our company, our competitors, the industry...it's all incredibly useful to help stay on top of what's going on out there!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While not necessarily intuitive at the start, the training is very useful. Once you jump in, the easiest way to get the hang of it is to just experiment and see what you can do.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the daily tracking emails so I can stay on top of my clients in the news, user functionality, dashboards and the influencer tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard functionality is a little time consuming to set up. For our large clients, it is a challenge to weed out the irrelevant mentions that pop up. Also, ads are pulled into our coverage when we are just trying to find earned media.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to monitor the conversation around our Clients. Good to compile impressions and see sentiment. Also, we use it for a media database tool for our outreach.
Great for lists and customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is great for compiling lists, and we've had a great experience with our contact in NY.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't include the New York Times in the media monitoring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to grow the recognition of an international company in the US market. We've found Meltwater is a great way of monitoring how well we're achieving this goal.
