Meltwater Newsletter
What do you like best about the product?
I use Meltwater to curate a weekly newsletter on environmental news. The searches have been helpful in streamlining the curation process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Meltwater website takes a longer time to load compared to other websites. It would be nice to let users easily design and tailor each newsletter template.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to monitor relevant news article and curate newsletters.
Meltwater: a helpful tool for media monitoring and communications
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater saves time by streamlining the media monitoring process and integrating other aspects of communications in one place. The ability to customize views and monitor key topics and terms is incredibly useful. Its user-friendly interface makes it practical for everyday use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite numerous filters and keywords in place, Meltwater occasionally misses relevant content and also includes quite a bit of irrelevant content which reduces its efficiency as a time-saving tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater saves time by combining content in an accessible and customizable format. Additionally, the integration of engagement and social media tools increases efficiency and the ability to collaborate as a team.
A solid media monitoring platform
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is good at capturing most media and social hits depening on your search terms. Meltwater is very user friendly and easy to operate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater's sentimate scores are often incorrect and not reliable. The algorithum could be improved significantly. I wish Meltwater tracked ALL outlets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps with our clients daily media monitoring needs.
Easy to Handle social CRM tool
What do you like best about the product?
It was helping us in many ways such as generating good reports for Social CRM and the way cases are received were very simple best way to start if you catching up for social CRM
What do you dislike about the product?
sometime we were not able to receive cases captured and we used it in our previous organization where we found the tool to bit slow as compared to other tools
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has many features which can ease your work, but now I think they need to be upgraded as other tools are able make it much better then them, there is always pros and cons to the tool
Using Meltwater for media monitoring is simple and efficient
What do you like best about the product?
I like how efficient it is and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a little confusing at first but it gets easier as you learn to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a lot easier to use Meltwater for media monitoring and PR analytics than doing it by hand. With bigger clients, there is a lot more coverage to be accounted for.
Great platform, but doesn't capture 100% of coverage
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is easy to learn (even advanced search/Boolean logic) because of its easy and inuitive user interface. It provides great coverage, but the coverage is not 100%.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not able to capture all syndications for Canadian media outlets (Post Media outlets, Black Press Media, Glacier Media), that we had to develop our own system to find all these syndications. It also doesn't cover Globe and Mail and Narcity, among others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking for earned media coverage.
Meltwater is a reliable tool for all your media relation needs
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Meltwater is easy to use, reliable, and efficient. I never feel overwhelmed when using it and I always acquire all the information I need for each task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Meltwater sometimes doesn't show results or needs to be reloaded in order to work properly. Sometimes, it says results not found even though there are results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to find specific pick ups/ media for a press release and Meltwater enables me to find the media I need by typing in key words for an advanced search.
Meltwater, a powerful tool to track coverage.
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater's incredible simple UI is one of the reasons why I use it frequently, it's great for tracking timely and relevant coverages whether that's for clients or personal research.
What do you dislike about the product?
One side of Meltwater that they could improve upon is adding more sources to their media monitoring suite, while the current outlets they feature is plentiful, there's still some notable outlets that are still missing from the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is making it easier for myself to track news coverage for my clients, rather than relying on traditional search engines which often delivers limited information.

Downloadable reports and reach/sentiment charts being pre-made

That some outlets do not generate through on Meltwater

Meltwater saves us from having to do a manual scan through google/manual checks of outlets.
The only tool I can rely on for media monitoring!
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is the "duplicates" feature (for broadcast clips specifically) - when looking at large numbers of mentions, its helpful to see how many are syndications of the same clip, and reduces scrolling for hours and manually counting syndications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The social monitoring capabilities - I never use it for this because I don't find it effectively captures everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is helpful for efficiently media monitoring (effectively captures 90% of mentions, Google supplements the rest) and identifying client coverage. Helpful for creating Share of Voice reports as well.
