Meltwater, a powerful tool to track coverage.
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater's incredible simple UI is one of the reasons why I use it frequently, it's great for tracking timely and relevant coverages whether that's for clients or personal research.
What do you dislike about the product?
One side of Meltwater that they could improve upon is adding more sources to their media monitoring suite, while the current outlets they feature is plentiful, there's still some notable outlets that are still missing from the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is making it easier for myself to track news coverage for my clients, rather than relying on traditional search engines which often delivers limited information.

Downloadable reports and reach/sentiment charts being pre-made

That some outlets do not generate through on Meltwater
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater saves us from having to do a manual scan through google/manual checks of outlets.
The only tool I can rely on for media monitoring!
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is the "duplicates" feature (for broadcast clips specifically) - when looking at large numbers of mentions, its helpful to see how many are syndications of the same clip, and reduces scrolling for hours and manually counting syndications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The social monitoring capabilities - I never use it for this because I don't find it effectively captures everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is helpful for efficiently media monitoring (effectively captures 90% of mentions, Google supplements the rest) and identifying client coverage. Helpful for creating Share of Voice reports as well.
Meltwater has been a very useful tool for our team.

The compiling of articles and the social media related tools.

I know Meltwater can be expensive, making it not overly accessible to some but that's the only thing that comes to mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater certainly helps alot with our daily media scan which is very valuable to the entire team. The last organization I worked at would have to manually search for articles online and create a newsletter themselves. Meltwater makes it so much easier and faster.

It allows to work efficiently in a daily basis for our press monitor analysis, making the search more easily and quickly.

That you need to learn about technicalities for a better search.
It has trainings that are easy to understand but it needs time and practice to get in "shape".

We are able to complement our manual search in digital press media, increasing the scope of our company's mention search, and making us saving time ir our morning work routine.
Easy to use media monitoring product
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is an easy to use media monitoring product and the support team is very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a downside to working with Meltwater.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can quickly find media coverage set to your search terms and also see the reach of publications making it easy to select the coverage that is important to you. Daily reports and alerts help you keep informed on the most recent articles.

Melwater is an easy-to-use fully integrated platform that provides a centralized workflow for all of my marketing needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not experienced any dislikes since I've used the platform a few months ago.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater removes the problem of having to go through other third-parties, or work on different platforms, to execute successful influencer campaigns. It is all done through Klear.

Contracting was tough but made it thru. sometime features are released and we'd like more one sheeters on how to use

Monitoring conversations on social faster and easier, helping get ahead of social crisis comms. sentiment analysis
Meltwater has made my social media experience a breeze!
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has insights that I didn't even know exsisted! The sentiment tracking is great for our brand (especially with a rebrand coming in the near future). The post scheduling and approval process is easy to use and great for planning ahead!
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater is always evolving. This means it takes a lot to keep up with. The account managers can struggle with having the most up to date information on what we can and can't do on the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It can be difficult knowing which influencers are right for your brand. Klear makes it easy to tell who is worth our time and money. We can also track KPIs with ease and report back to management.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are a couple features in the media relations section that could use some work. In particular, when it comes to the newsletter feature. Rather than only allowing us to send articles we explore and analyze, it would be great to have a way to send a basic newsletter (such as something you see on MailChimp or Constant Contact) to our stakeholders. That way we don't need to use multiple platforms and can have everything on one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my role specifically, it is helping me monitor keywords in the news world so that I can find where our organization lives within the media and if we are mentioned/what important topics are being talked about.
