What do you like best about the product?
I love that GoAnywhere MFT offers a secure automated file transfer system across our system partners and cloud, which streamlines workflows by enabling scheduling and managing data movements without manual intervention. The combination of automation, security, and visibility into a single clear, centralized platform is a significant advantage. The workflow automation feature allows us to design and schedule compelling file transfer processes without heavy reliance on custom scripts, which really reduces operational efforts. I also appreciate the detailed logging and monitoring as they simplify troubleshooting and auditing. The built-in encryption and compliance support instill confidence in handling sensitive data, eliminating daily operational friction and reducing risk by removing repetitive manual transfers. It's also great that the visibility feature, along with logging and monitoring, offers a clear real-time view of every transfer, meaning if something fails, we can quickly identify the issue. Overall, these features help us meet internal and external audit requirements effortlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
GoAnywhere MFT is strong overall but a few areas could be improved. The user interface is good but can feel outdated for new users, creating a learning curve during onboarding. Debugging complex workflows can be challenging, especially when errors aren’t very descriptive. Additionally, some advanced configurations and integrations require deeper technical knowledge than expected, which can slow down implementation. A modern intuitive UI would significantly reduce onboarding time for new users. Better native integration with modern cloud platforms and PSI would also be a plus. Current setups can feel rigid or require extra configurations. Enhancing performance visibility, like clearer insights into job execution times, boot times, and system load, would also help optimize larger-scale operations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GoAnywhere MFT for secure automated file transfers, solving fragmented scripts and manual issues. It streamlines workflows, improves data security, reduces user error, and saves time. The central platform offers real-time visibility, encryption, and compliance support, making auditing easier.

Efficient File Transfers with Room for UI Improvements

  • April 16, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use GoAnywhere MFT for automating and securing file transfers between different systems. What I like most is how it centralises all file transfer activities in one place, making it much easier to manage and monitor workflows. The support for secure protocols like SFTP and FTPS ensures data is transferred safely, which is critical in our environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
While GoAnywhere MFT is reliable and feature-rich, there are a few areas where improvements could noticeably enhance the overall experience. A major opportunity is the user interface and general usability. The UI feels a bit dated and not as intuitive as many modern tools, and moving between projects, workflows, and logs can be somewhat cumbersome. A more modern, responsive design—paired with clearer organization, stronger search capabilities, and customizable dashboards—would make everyday work smoother and faster.

The learning curve is another challenge. Even though the workflow builder reduces the need for scripting, getting comfortable with advanced features such as variable handling, error conditions, and integrations can be difficult for new users. More interactive tutorials, guided setup wizards, and practical, real-world workflow templates would help users ramp up more quickly.

Error handling and debugging also seem like areas for improvement. The logs are detailed, but they can be overly technical and not always easy to interpret. Clearer, more user-friendly error messages—ideally with suggestions for how to resolve issues—would be very helpful. Adding step-by-step debugging, visual error tracing within workflows, and smarter alerts would make troubleshooting far more efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GoAnywhere MFT to automate secure and reliable file transfers by centralizing all transfer activities and helping ensure data safety through encryption. It replaces manual, error-prone processes and cuts down on operational delays. After switching from more basic tools, I’ve seen better management and visibility, along with stronger compliance support, which has improved overall efficiency.

Streamlines File Transfers with Robust Automation

  • April 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use GoAnywhere MFT to automate and secure our file transfers across our cloud infrastructure. We also use it to securely route, encrypt, and manage sensitive files between our servers and third-party partners. The advanced workflows feature allows us to use a drag-and-drop interface to build complex, multi-step automations without writing custom scripts. The built-in cloud connectors help us integrate our local file transfers with cloud storage like Amazon S3. Features like SFTP, FTPS, and OpenPGP provide centralized detailed trails for single jobs. I work with GoAnywhere MFT as part of a broader cloud and DevOps stack, using it extensively with AWS for secure file transfer directly into S3 buckets, Jenkins for CI/CD, and to integrate with Python and Golang scripts for data parsing and automation. Installation and setup of the platform were easy and quick. Initial deployments were painless, and connecting to Amazon S3, migrating our PGP keys, and translating old manual scripts to automation took a bit of effort but were successfully managed. I rate it 9 out of 10 for any team managing complex infrastructure or hybrid cloud environments. It's a massive time saver, and the automation and cloud connectors are superb.
What do you dislike about the product?
Advanced workflows are powerful but debugging them when something fails can be tough. The logs are detailed but are not developer-friendly or easy to parse quickly. The UI feels a bit dated and can be overwhelming with a lot of features. Also, simplifying the navigation would greatly improve daily user experience. Better debugging tools would help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GoAnywhere MFT to automate and secure file transfers across cloud infrastructure, manage cron jobs, and bridge on-premise systems with cloud. It simplifies PGP encryption and integrates local file transfers with cloud storage using advanced workflows.

  • April 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how GoAnywhere MFT makes everything simple and organized, as all file transfers are in one place, so I don't have to check multiple tools or systems. The workflow process is very smooth; it takes care of picking up files, processing them, and sending them to the right place on its own. This automation saves me a lot of time, and I don't have to worry about constant monitoring. Additionally, I can easily see if a file was sent successfully or if something failed, which makes troubleshooting steps easy. Setting up workflows once and having the system automatically handle everything is a major time saver. Managing file transfers is straightforward, as everything is centralized, and I can clearly see the status of each file transfer. The security aspect of the file transfer management gives me confidence, as everything is handled securely, allowing me to feel more assured about the data being shared.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I first started using it, it took some time to understand where everything is and how to navigate properly. A more modern and user-friendly design would make things much easier. I have also faced some delays with customer support; they are helpful but response time can sometimes be slow which can affect work if there's an urgent issue. Also, while basic workflows are easy to create, more advanced ones can take time to configure and test; sometimes it is confusing and you need to spend extra time figuring things out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GoAnywhere MFT to securely transfer files between systems. It organizes file management, saving me time by automating processes and simplifying workflows. I easily track file statuses, ensuring secure and confident file sharing, replacing inefficient manual methods and scripts.

Reliable for Securing File Transfers, But Interface Needs Improvement

  • April 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I mainly use GoAnywhere MFT for secure file sharing between different environments, like app servers to storage or sending files to clients, which makes manual uploads unnecessary. What I like most about GoAnywhere MFT is that it just takes care of things in the background, so once it's set up, you don't have to keep checking it all the time. One thing that works really well is how easy it is to set up recurring jobs. You can just schedule them once, and they keep running without any issues. Also, the basic tracking is helpful; I can quickly see if something ran or not without too much effort. The recurring jobs reduce a lot of mistakes, and the tracking feature is useful because I can quickly check if everything ran as expected without digging too deep. Overall, GoAnywhere MFT makes things more predictable and less stressful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say it feels a bit confusing at times, especially when you're trying to set up something new. The interface isn't the most intuitive, so you sometimes have to spend extra time figuring out. Also, when something fails, it's not always very clear what the exact issue is, which can be a bit frustrating. Understanding how to structure workflows properly took some time, especially figuring out the right way to connect different steps. Setting up permissions and getting everything aligned with our system was also not easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GoAnywhere MFT to securely share files between environments, reducing chaos around transfers and minimizing manual steps. It ensures consistent, timely transfers without constant checking, reducing errors and stress.

Robust Security and Flexibility with GoAnywhere MFT

  • April 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the cloud connectors in GoAnywhere MFT as they provide prebuilt connectors for Salesforce, SharePoint, and AWS, allowing us to treat cloud storage just like a local folder in our workflow. I also like the secure mail feature for Outlook. The plugins let users send secure emails directly from Outlook, which is excellent as it automatically replaces large attachments with a secure link, keeping our mail server clear of heavy file storage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things that I think need to improve is with the support portal navigation. Their support staff is great, but their online help portal and documentation can be a bit challenging. Finding the specific version release note or particular API guides often takes more clicks than it should. The automated PDF reports for audit logs look very technical and dry. I would like to see more modern, visual reporting templates that I could present directly to the executive or board members. Setting up the high availability cluster is where the complexity lies. Configuration with a gateway in the DMZ and load balancer requires a deep understanding of our network architecture. It's not a plug-and-play experience. It's difficult but very valuable after setting up everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GoAnywhere MFT to solve connectivity problems, creating a secure and permanent encrypted pipe to remote sites. It helps manage remote agents securely and ensures sensitive file handling without FTP, preventing data from ending up on unmanaged personal sites.

The user interface is another area that can be improved. While it gets the job done,it feels a bit outdated compared to more modern platforms.A more intuitive and visually appealing UI would make a big difference.
Pricing is also something to consider. From my perspective,it can be a bit on the higher side especially for smaller organizations that might not need all the advanced features..
Lastly, while support is generally helpful, response times can sometimes be slower than expected which can be frustrating when dealing with urgent issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
file sharing -It is very useful for sharing files with clients, partners or teams.
File transfer -It ensures sensitive data is protected end to end. This ensures compliance with our internal security policies and standards.
One time,I scheduled a job that pushes daily sales data into Salesforce every night -zero manual work.
