Reliable, practical and easy data recovery backup tool
What do you like best about the product?
The job scheduling feature. Existing, full and differential backup types are the main ones we use. Fast restoration.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't had any backup and recovery issues so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is suitable for backing up files that are updated daily. We use bacula to backup various files in virtual machines. It is a centralized management through a graphical interface and released for multi-users. This solves our problem as it is easy and fast to recover data in case of a disaster.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We currently use bacula to backup multiple virtual machines. We have 103 important jobs that perform data copying every day for the organization. Backup is very important as this data is constantly updated and is essential for navigation and safety at sea. It is a centralized management through a graphical interface and released for multi-users. This solves our problem.

System with a simple and efficient interface for its management, in addition to providing backup solutions for multiple mixed operating systems, automating backup tasks that usually require the intervention of a system administrator.

Amazing Support for the client
What do you like best about the product?
Support offered to the customer. Every time my team had a problem, they were promptly taken care of by support. The Backup Recovery and Restore are the best features.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first the user interface is not so intuitive, but as you use it, this is no longer a problem once the team gets used to it. For people who are already used to using this type of service, this probably won't be a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before implementing Bacula Enterprise, verifying backups was always a problem, however, when implementing this tool, it became much simpler to verify Backup services.

I strongly recommend using Bacula Enterprise for Backup service solutions.

What i like most about working with bacula is the fact that it is easy to create a job for every need i have, and the infinity of things i can do is very wide, I partition the backup on my tapes, or on storage.

In fact, we can do a lot with the system, but it really isn't for amateurs, as it's easy for you to create several directives and rules and your system works perfectly, the chance of doing "bullshit" is great, if you don't know what Is doing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are several problems that we had before having this solution in backup, I think the first I can list is the cost benefit, excellent support, and my problems with backup and restore are practically over, now I have full management of where I backup or restore, all perfect.

Best backup solution you will find today, but I suggest you study hard.

When I update the version of the tool, I encounter problems using the graphic interface in the PT-BR language.

Due to the high volume of data, the previous tool did not serve us because it limited the size of data that could be backed up, the cost was also higher, and we didn't have some of the backup plugins that we now have in Bacula's backup solution.

For those who don't have it, it's worth doing a demo of the enterprise version.

The interface is very simple to use, which makes training new members of the support team much easier. User-requested restores are 100% satisfied as data returns exactly as expected.

As for usage, it's spectacular, but the plugins could be priced a little lower. If you have a varied environment, plugins help a lot, but the price goes up a lot.

Resolving file restore tickets was too complicated for the 1st level support team in the old backup software. Bacula's web interface, together with its simplicity of use, facilitated support and reduced the time to meet these demands.

What do you like best about the product?
The reason we use Bacula Enterprise is to provide an effective backup and disaster recovery framework. As the solution is agnostic, that is, it can be deployed in practically any system or application, we understand that Bacula Enterprise is currently the most appropriate solution for our environment. We use it to backup servers (Linux, MS-Windows Server, FreeBSD), database (Oracle, Mysql and MS-SQL), virtualized environments (Vmware), applications, in addition to shared file backups
What do you dislike about the product?
In general, using the system is simple, but it still has a graphical interface that is not so clear and easy to manipulate. It is not suitable for all browsers and is also not very responsive, not suitable for use on mobile devices.
It is the part that most needs improvement, bacula does not have an interface really designed for mobile devices or even compatible with multiple browsers. At various times, using it on a cell phone, for example, ends up crashing your browser. And to top it off, it doesn't have a mobile app.

As stated before, the system is agnostic, and its implementation can be carried out in any environment, as long as there is a team to implement and maintain it or a support contract suitable for the needs of your organization. Due to its wide compatibility, it can be used in mixed environments, such as prepared with disks and tape libraries, as well as in cloud environments.

Have a team that is willing to learn how to use the tool: It is not because it is intuitive that it does not need trained operators. When in doubt, always contact support, they are always willing to help and answer all your questions.

Ease and practicality in use, speed in routine deliveries, hot backup of FileSystems and Virtual Machines

Reports still need to improve as there are no options to show

A few weeks ago we were having a performance problem on the system but it was quickly fixed with a simple version update.
