Indispensable Monitoring Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I and my teammates use Instana regularly to investigate app failures, errors, and latencies.
What do you dislike about the product?
The results become less reliable over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to find where errors have occurred, read the logs, and see if there were Infra changes or what may have caused the issue.
Great Monitoring Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use and very intuitive UI. You don't need to think too much to check errors and load numbers on a per endpoint or per service basis. You are also able to check error messages.
What do you dislike about the product?
The API documentation is not the best and it is not very clear what APIs do. Including examples with the endpoints could be very helpful in understanding its purpose.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives an insight as to which services are impacted by an incident and how does the chain of command follows the services. which makes it easier to debug the problems.
I use Instana almost everyday, its a awesome tool to monitor the product.
What do you like best about the product?
Once you get used to it, it's an excellent tool to monitor the product. I use it to monitor my deployments and the application's overall health and help identify bugs and their causes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found it pretty intimidating at first. The onboarding experience for new users could be better; maybe some tutorials for useful features cause I still think I'm not using it to its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me see my application's actual health and its moving parts. I can use it to monitor an endpoint that could be affected by my recent deployment or to get more information about a possible bug in production.
Great product, UI and tooling, easy to find value
What do you like best about the product?
Instana is easy to install, provides great value very quickly and we keep finding new ways to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only criticism is that I wish it was easier/faster to get help from support.

We are using Instana for APM but also finding lots of value in having Instana monitor and alert on issues inside the kubernetes environment.
I recommend it, it has essential tools for monitoring

Of course the map of applications, observe how the status of applications and error alerts are going

In general, I really like using the tool, but I could release an API to be able to use the information in an external panel

As a member of the engineering team, I can monitor our applications and know their health status, and I can act quickly when there is a glitch.

I like the ease of searching for information, as well as the amount of visualizations and parameterizations available.

at the moment there is nothing I don't like about Instana.

Solving how I can visualize my application infrastructure in detail, thus helping to give predictability of possible problems.

Very useful tool
What do you like best about the product?
Instana is a very powerful tool for monitoring, it has a lot of useful features and it's very easy to use since the first time because it has an intuitive UI. We have a high quantity of services running and it's been much easier to manage since we got Instana.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes i feel like the "live" feature in the monitoring is not really updating the status on real time, so I have to refresh manually to feel at ease. Also the statistics could be shown in a more clear way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instana is solving the problem that is monitoring hundreds of apis. We can filter by only erroneus calls, saving us a lot of time and making easy to detect problems.
