A complete toolset to build a real digital twin of the organization
What do you like best about the product?
Having moved from Process Mining to a full scope Process Intelligence platform, powered by the Object-Centric Process Model, differentiates Celonis from other technologies that focus in specific parts of the process management and improvement realm. Also the fact that Celonis is now a platform where anyone can build process intelligence solutions, from simple process analysis to full process orchestration, makes it a powerful complement to any business and IT landscape. Finally, the approach to AI is brilliant. With Celonis Process Intelligence Graph as the center piece of business knowledge (not just data), Celonis can feed AI with the right business context for decision taking and agentic execution, at the same time the it serves as a perpetual monitor for all operations and actor interactions, both human and synthetic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Celonis is heavily attached to financial-based processes (P2P, O2C) and lacks foundational support to domain-based processes such as Banking or Insurance. Also, as a platform, it needs to incorporate a technical way for developers to protect their IP by allowing them to shield their source code and strategical assets. Anyone with ADMIN access can see and do anything in a specific implementation, which leaves solution building partners exclusively with contractual protection and no effective safeguards of their IP.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’re using Celonis to build Industry-focused solutions, specially for banking, supported by a Unified Banking Model that supports any process within the industry.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you don't get confused by the similarity of some of the visuals that Celonis provides with those that you find in BI tools. Celonis will give you a very accurate vision on how your processes are being executed and, more than that, it will allow you to immediately act on them. If you go for a Proof-of-Concept before you take a decision, make sure you get a solid use case that can show these features working right from the start. Also, don't be afraid of your first reaction when the results start showing up. It will be something like “I’m pretty sure that can’t possibly be right” but be prepared because… maybe it is. Don’t forget Celonis will be looking for what’s happening “under the hood” and sometimes we’re happy that the car is running fine but we’re not aware it could be running much more efficiently and excelling in its performance.

A ground breaking technology that allows full visibility of our processes, identifying weak spots and bottleneck and making is easy and intuitive to act. The right leverage to transform data to information and to go from process sample analysis to full data analysis.

Complex adaptation of pre-developed extractors with our company's infrastructure requirements.

We have found several use cases for Celonis. We are leveraging the insight engine to identify process inefficiencies or non-compliance. provide efficiencies in the internal audit process and process metrics.

Live data from the ERP in a format/analysis you can devise according to needs

Maybe the datamodel could be more flexible and new connections possible according to needs of a dashboard

We are only at the start of the process, specifically for my project I now have ways to track DSO success and also anticipate on billing error rate for customers who will be onboarded into e-invoicing automation.
Celonis has given us the tools to transform our Supply Chain
What do you like best about the product?
Celonis is incredibly user friendly and enabled our organization to become more agile. We use this tool to transform our data into actionable tasks and are constantly updating the dashboards as we improve as an organization. It has allowed us to keep raising the bar to better service our customers. Celonis has brought so much visibility to our data that would never have been possible without this tool. We can drive to the true root cause of our process gaps with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to note. Celonis is meeting all of our expectations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to examine our processes and uncover how we could eliminate waste, increase our On-Time Delivery rate, improve customer satisfaction and be more aligned as a Supply Chain. We can now quickly spot process gaps, implement solutions, and monitor their control plan directly in the tool. Pre- Celonis, we would talk about KPI's - but now we can take meaningful actions to improve our business. Celonis has helped us develop a very clear project pipeline and it has brought us closer as an organization by breaking down silos and allowing our whole team to view unemotional data at face value. Celonis has enabled us to go from firefighting to see clear lines of accountability at all steps in our Order-to-Cash process. Lastly, we have been able to turn almost everything into a KPI that can be tracked and managed, so at the management level - we know exactly where we have value leakage - and exactly what steps we need to take to close the gaps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure you have top down leadership support. Ensure you have a solid support team internally. Those in the analyst roles should have good subject matter expertise, project management skills, and analytical skills. We had a small dedicated project team that really drove our organizations transformation.

Celonis is more than just process analysis
What do you like best about the product?
We use Celonis not only as a process analysis tool, but also as a monitoring tool and workflow system. With the help of Celonis, you can keep an eye on your processes at all times. You can analyze weak points and continuously improve your process performance. Different decision-making levels have a transparent overview of how actual processes run internally. Optimizations can be implemented directly with Celonis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Celonis requires a clear focus internally on data analytics, making data-driven decisions and implementing process optimizations. Therefore, you need clear and unambiguous management support to introduce and implement process improvements in your organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have optimized the communication process in order processing through the use of Celonis and thus massively improved throughput times and quality in order processing. Open order items are routed to the responsible processing point in the company in a targeted manner as required without any loss of time.

Good preparation before Celonis is implemented. Clarification of the responsibilities and special attention to the existence or creation of resources for data analysis and data science.

The process mining explorer was extremely helpful to show the visual connections between the various steps

Requires time to explore individual cases and reasons behind the insight. This is a must in order to demonstrate to the business why deviation occurs.
