Secure and easy to develop on
What do you like best about the product?
Just the right amount of control. Keeps you safe from yourself whilst letting you do your thing. Great support, pretty good documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a while to get used to the restrictions and learn how to work around them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CI/CD. Real easy to spin up new development branches.
Realized how much time I was wasting before trying to set up a new environment. I used to have scripts, but they still required plenty of manual changes, vhosts and such. So much easier to just click "activate".

What do you like best about the product?
Platform.sh provides us a high degree of flexibility in how we manage and host our websites. They are very responsive to questions, suggestions and issues as they come up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Platform.sh workflows require a higher degree of CI/CD knowledge than legacy workflows based upon local servers. This is not really a complaint, just a fact of life as you move from an on-premise solution to a cloud solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Platform.sh allowed us to address ongoing security issues with how our websites were managed - we now have better control over administrative accounts. It also allows us to build controls that allow us to keep modules, plugins and CMS code up to date in a much more efficient and secure way. Finally, we are saving money because they take care of the infrastructure, databases, CDN, etc. and we no longer have to.

What do you like best about the product?
Seriously, this hosting provider offers the ability to almost effortlessly integrate with Github, run test suites, and spin up PR environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I've not had a poor experience on any level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can use PR and Epic branches for QA and UAT, removing the bottlenecks we had trying to deploy updates.
Just a magic way to become sysops free.

The code oriented configurations and the very easy way to add services.

Background infrastructure details not visible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We get rid of the trick charge to manage (install, maintain, deploy etc.) many environments. It's a very good way to build a micro-services architecture.

Platform.sh helps us to solve scalability and perfomance issue for high trafic websites and large digital ecosystems
This solution is quick and easy to deploy an application or test a feature on a clone.

Testing and showing the new functionality is easy. Working with others is easier.

Reading the documentation is necessary :)

Reliable platform, good support, good tools, good security and rapid deployment. Everything you want, at a reasonable price.

Not much. They had some teething issues a couple of years ago but these have improved (support and downtime were the main ones).

Fast deployment, reliable service and reasonable cost.

You do need good developers who can properly use the console and GIT.
