What do you like best about the product?
Scylla DB comes with performance optimization and User Friendly. The Large Datasets can be used here Instead of RDBMS.Migration works pretty easy when comparing to other Tool
What do you dislike about the product?
Scylla DB can come with help redirect when they initially enter into the Tool for the First TIme
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No problems until now, I'm trying to use more large datasets, maybe need to check if those use cases can b passed while with the large datasets

ScyllaDB offers cross-data center replication features that are well-optimized & highly available

  • October 20, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
NoSQL databases are preferred for our applications that depend on unstructured data. ScyllaDB offers excellent services to govern low latency & enterprise-grade NoSQL database platforms. Since Scylla manages all backend operations on the AWS environment, we don't have to worry about its setup, configuration & maintenance activities. Deployments in ScyllaDB Cloud reduce costs and overhead, as they are crucial considerations while dealing with sensitive customer data in bulk.
What do you dislike about the product?
None. ScyllaDB provides a splendid cloud-based platform that helps us maintain our SLAs through its low latency features. It enables us to optimize our cluster configurations, performance metrics & resource costs. We are satisfied with the services offered by ScyllaDB for our enterprise requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With ScyllaDB, we possess fine-grained control over critical metrics such as CPU utilization, I/O & memory data transfer rates. It provisions efficient servers capable of handling heavy workloads with small clusters. AWS supports all cluster deployments, thereby delivering highly available NoSQL database systems. We can also use its cross-data center replication feature across availability zones to shield production outages in case of single-point failures.

Best NoSQL database system

  • August 01, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What makes ScyllaDB the best is its great performance in handling lots of operations and high volume of data. We were using Cassandra with success but ScyllaDB is taking our system to a great new level.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of anything bad about ScyllaDB, it probably will the few use cases published, but that part is growing fast and with Slack community channel discussion that part is covered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our business, we're using Cassandra and getting some bad results and lots of timeouts in our applications. With the use of vCPU by ScyllaDB that problem has been solved.

Scylla was quick and easy to setup and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't encountered anything at this point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are looking for an alternative to DataStax Cassandra and this is easier to use with more support.

One of the best NoSQL data store with little upkeeping

  • July 31, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ScyllaDB is a great NoSQL wide-column data store. It is well designed and achieves significantly higher throughputs and lower latencies. It does backups well and even repairs automatically --- both a boon to my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is somewhat of a steeper learning curve for new people to work with data. Luckily there is Scylla University. So my staff can spend some time learning through it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For two big issues that we solve via ScyllaDB -- (1) storing large data sets in a distributed system (about 6 tb) ; (2) real-time data streaming for some applications. Both have given us significant benefits in speed and time.

If you need something between Redis/MySQL: ScyllaDB is the solution for you

  • July 30, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
When you need a very fast database with a linear scale like Redis cluster, that can handle queries that are more than just key-value like MySQL: ScyllaDB is the solution for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any database, you must analyze your needs in advance and verify that ScyllaDB is a good fit for you. Every SELECT query must use the partition key (there are workarounds, but they are highly discouraged) and you should keep your partitions relatively small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After testing Redis, MySQL and SingleStore, I found ScyllaDB the best solution for my need to keep the data in buckets and query these buckets. Using ScyllaDB provides me with the fast performance I require.

ScyllaDB Its a super fast, high throuput NoSQL database for modern apps.

  • July 28, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ScyllaDB is designed to perform faster than most of the NoSQL databases out there. With just as little as a 3 node cluster, you can have all the power you need to process tons of transactions. Its approach of using parallelism makes it run tons of parallel processing with little compute infrastructure. Also, the learning curve is short. The admin portal is user-friendly and intuitive to use and understand. I will recommend this NoSQL database solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, I think there is no issue for me for now. We use it in production and we had no issues so far. Maybe one thing is the availability in more Latin countries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before starting using ScyllaDB, we were using Cassandra. It was difficult to learn and use. Also, we had a large compute cluster of 10+ nodes to process our data. Since we change to ScyllaDB, we have faster response times and with just a 3 node cluster.

My go-to NoSQL database

  • July 28, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I used to use Postgres as my go-to database. When I started using Scylla, its SQL-like syntax made it super easy for me to get used to it. Not only is it easier to get used to, but it's also lightning fast. Plus, Cassandra compatibility! I don't think I can ever go back to using Postgres again after experiencing this (unless it's part of the project requirement). Now, Scylla is my go-to database.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd be nitpicking here, but there are times when I just want to fetch something without using all partition keys or to update a field that happens to be a clustering key. Not as part of my project or test (that would be silly), but just for some random reason. Of course, that doesn't work the way it does with SQL. That's something I miss. But I really can't blame Scylla for this, I could have used any NoSQL database and the same would have been true.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its lightning-fast speed has significantly reduced response time. As the biggest (or narrowest, if you will) bottleneck used to be database latency before, with Scylla that's not an issue anymore, as it responds within nanoseconds.
