What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using JIRA for release/sprint planning, creating tasks, assigning them to different teams and getting inputs from them, progress reporting, tracking issues, creating and executing test cases, logging defects, mapping dependencies, reporting, etc
Amazing Agile tool
What do you like best about the product?
Impressive UI / story management is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to add the ability to add more than one developer to a story or task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All software development on my team is SDLC is agile, and JIRA plays a significant role for the application backlogs
Very good tool to manage your project for mid-sized team
What do you like best about the product?
Overall, it helps a lot in managing a lot of things for product managers. Sprint planning and locking the timelines is a very good feature. We use that a lot for our sprints. The project views is decent enough as well to understand what's going on across other teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of things can be improved around tracking and reporting. I know a lot of PM's who use Google Sheets to manage their JIRA as the overall UX is not that great. Since the pricing is based on no of users, most of the time we don't invite other team members just to view the status of the tasks. This makes things a bit difficult to manage in multiple places.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing our mobile app development tasks with JIRA and it does its job pretty well. Assigning the tasks to different team members and tracking the status makes it worth it.
One of the best project management tools out there
What do you like best about the product?
The process flow while managing a project and assigning tasks. It is one of the simplest.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new interface. It takes more clicks to achieve what we need to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning tasks is quite easy
Great Tool to integrate with lots of CRMS
What do you like best about the product?
I used HubSpot to follow clients, I like how Jira can smoothly integrate with it. You have everything centralized. The user interface is great, I like how you can embed code, tables, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
For newbies the user interface at the beginning might not result in a user-friendly experience as in my case, I spent a good time reading their Help center learning how to use key features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When cases should be escalated to the Engineering team, Our team can associate all the cases directly in Jira with Hubspot and have everything centralized, we can easily follow up all the cases directly from Jira.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check the integration lists that Jira offers. It can easily be integrated. You should be patient getting familiar with the interface at the beginning.
Jira is life
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is a great agile infrastructure. It enables my team to provide full requirements to our product and tech teams to implement changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a lot of manual work in order to customize jira infrastructure. Such as screen, screen scheme and issue screen scheme.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use jira to track operational trends/ bugs/ etc. and to create predictive resource models
Jira is so user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly intuitive. I'm so busy and can be resistant to software that takes too much time to figure out. Jira is easy to use, and it's a great way to keep all your relevant information in one place. I can attach documents, links, etc so other team members can easily find the information they need. I like the kanban board feature, it's a nice visual dashboard of different ongoing projects, as well as a place to find information on previous projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't anything I dislike about it. It's easy to use and user-friendly. It doesn't take a long time to edit or update. It's a helpful tool to help keep track of what other team members are working on, and find their results/data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps my team stay organized. Previously we had documents in several different places, Jira gives us a way to link the different locations and stay up to date on progress. It serves as a sort of dashboard for our team. It helps people stay on track and on schedule. We've also strted using Jira to track IT and software issues. You can create tasks, include relevant details, and then mark tasks as completed or ongoing. It helps people to stay in the loop without having to constantly reach out to individuals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The kanban board feature is a great dashboard for teams. It's a great way to keep our project manager updated on our individual tasks and link relevant data. It can be used as a central location where you can attach documents, links, data, updates, and other related information for other team members to see. It's useful for keeping track of individual projects and helpful for keeping people on schedule.
Manage global teams and projects
What do you like best about the product?
Amount of features, capabilities, and uses.
What do you dislike about the product?
requirement of using same server/VPN makes it slow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
work aligned in global teams with visibility and project tracking
Jira ignores users
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is adequate at managing issues once you get a grasp of their workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
The complete disregard for end users. Just take a look at this support ticket that has hundreds of requests for an option to disable their "smart links" feature: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-72429
This is the most annoying feature in any software I've ever used, hundreds of other users agree, and Jira is just completely ignoring it.
This is the most annoying feature in any software I've ever used, hundreds of other users agree, and Jira is just completely ignoring it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jira to manage our software projects.
Comprehensive solution for managing software development projects
What do you like best about the product?
Super configurable and once you get the hang of it very straightforward to use. Multiple projects, views, dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be slow and cumbersome and does take time to get up to speed!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking issues. Managing the flow of tasks using either a Kanban or Sprint based approach. Managing several projects and dashboards.
