Helps communication between CX and engineering
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is a great platform, and we've customized it so that all of our tickets are detailed to the fullest extent. This ability helps when a CX person finds a bug when the engineer who works on that vertical isn't online. The engineer can find all of the information right in the JIRA ticket and not have to spend time investigating or waiting on communication back and forth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customizable does mean that it takes time to set up, and you have to understand what your primary problem is to create the right solution. There is a significant learning curve when new members join our team and need to learn JIRA.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's the best solution for creating tickets to facilitate communication between our CX team and our engineering team. We can track who is working on it, what stage it is in and communicate even more in the comments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Figure out what your primary purpose is, then work down from there. JIRA has a lot of customizations and extra attributes like dashboards, but those are only effective when you are solving your primary purpose.
Meets requirements and more besides
What do you like best about the product?
It's relatively easy to create tickets and get updates on what's happening. Attaching files is also helpful, especially when it's quite a complicated issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find the user experience to be overly intuitive. I feel like I have to re-learn how to use it, because I'm not in JIRA every day (I tend to use it less regularly than that).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to write tickets to fix issues on our website/app, as well as all the usual product management tasks like writing epics/user stories, number of sprints, assigning points etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd take a look at other product management tools that are out there - that said, I don't recall using anything other than JIRA in any of my recent roles! On that basis, it's probably the best toolkit for the job.
JIRA makes project management easy
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to navigate and use JIRA for project management. It's customizable so that I can make my workspace work for my needs different ways for different projects. I also like how it has a lot of softwares available for automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much that I dislike about JIRA. Even though it has lots of automation software, they are expensive to use and hard to get ahold of. Maybe if they were cheaper I would get to use them more often and take advantage of their usefulness.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JIRA to keep track of bugs and issues my team needs to resolve. It keeps my team and I organized and with it we know where our progress stands and what else needs to be done.
Jira review for project management
What do you like best about the product?
Best tool for managing tasks for team. Everything is in one place . I have mostly used in sprint based deliveries.
Here we can create sprint and move the tasks in the sprint.
There are so many tools built in JiRa which helps user to see the estimated and actual metrics.
Hours can be logged and tracked from jira.
This also have lot many widgets to manage quality controls in the project

There are so many functions in the software that it can often be hard to find what you need to use.

Jira has helped us understand and improve velocity and capacity, and also helps us keep track of our roadmap via integrations.
Jira is a great tool!! Especially when paired with Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
I mostly use it for backlog management. I love that there are different views - I find the kanban board view very helpful. I also like that you can link items to each other, assign users and tag users in comments. It's a great collaboration and sprint management tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are certain things that are hard to do - or figure out how to fix. Example: If a story is not appearing in the correct bucket, sometimes its a challenge to figure out why or what needs to be changed. Also, the reporting is limited in my opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management, backlog management, user story creation, sprint planning, development tracking. It's a great tool to manage workload among the team as well as see current status.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it! It works great, especially for Agile projects!
Not my favorite platform.
What do you like best about the product?
Not a fan in general. Reminds me of the 90s. I don't appreciate much about jira at all actually. We use to track reimbursement at work. Also use to track exposures.
What do you dislike about the product?
All of it. Not as automated as it could be and requires uploading documents. Not user friendly in my opinion. Outdated and cumbersome to use. Needs revamping to be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During covid using to track exposures fir employees. Also use to reimburse employees for mileage etc although this could easily be done using Kronos directly instead.
Powerful for Project Management, Defect Management and Test Management

It has a User-Friendly Interface with vast functionalities, easy integration with Xray and Bitbucket. Also, have integration with Jenkins for execution over the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is Nothing to dislike in the Application for me. Can improve the integration with different applications to get the work done more efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it for Project Management to create the scrum board, Test Cases, and defect management. Also, I have JIRA integrated with my Jenkins pipeline to publish the execution results directly from Jenkins to JIRA.
