Dependable Automation with Solid Security

  • April 11, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy GoAnywhere MFT makes automation. It saves time, reduces manual work, and still provides strong security, which makes it dependable. I appreciate that everything is visible in one place, which saves time and makes troubleshooting easier. The logs and reports also help with audits and overall visibility. The tool provides solid and reliable security features and is strong in automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI feels outdated and troubleshooting can be a little simpler. The UI could be more modern and intuitive, with simpler navigation and better guidance for users. In troubleshooting, logs are detailed but not always easy to understand, so clearer error messages and more user-friendly debugging tools would help a lot. Initial setup was okay overall but not simple, configuring and workflow integration took some time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use GoAnywhere MFT for secure file transfers, automating data movements, and improving security. It helps avoid manual errors with centralized monitoring, easy troubleshooting, and strong security. Everything is visible in one place, which saves time and assists with audits.

One area that could be improved is the user interface as it feels a bit outdated compared to newer platforms. The interface is simple to use, yet it offers strong security features, which makes it reliable for handling sensitive data. I also appreciate the centralized monitoring and reporting; it's really helpful to have a single place where we can track all file transfers, check logs, and quickly identify if something fails. The alerting system is also handy as it notifies us immediately if there's an issue. The way it integrates with APIs, cloud storage, and internal servers to move data between different environments is a great fit for our existing setup. It's a reliable and secure solution with strong automation capabilities, making day-to-day file transfers much easier. I would definitely recommend it.

Less stress around file transfers

  • April 04, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It took a messy, manual process and made it feel steady. We used to rely on scripts and constant check-ins, now workflows just run in the background. I like that both technical and non-technical people on my team can use it without much friction. The security piece also gives me some peace of mind since we deal with client data all the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it connected more easily with the other tools we use. Getting everything integrated still takes some effort. I also end up recreating similar setups for client deliveries, so a few more ready-made templates would help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It replaced a messy mix of scripts and manual uploads that we constantly had to double-check. Now everything runs through structured workflows, so we’re not babysitting transfers anymore. It saves time, reduces errors, and honestly just makes the whole process feel a lot less stressful.

Automation has simplified secure file transfers and supports smooth team workflows

  • April 02, 2026
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

For GoAnywhere MFT, we have explored some of the connectors like Salesforce and SharePoint. In our case, we used it for most of the basic integrations, not the very advanced ones, so it was quite easy for us.

What is most valuable?

The automation of GoAnywhere MFT is the best thing about it. The interface of this software is also really easy to use for me and my teammates.

It really helps us transfer files within our organization really securely and automates the whole process for us, which makes it really easy.

What needs improvement?

It takes a little time to understand all of the workflow, and it has a bit of a learning curve, even with the easy interface. When we were trying to set up the software at the start, it took us a few days, and it was a bit complex initially for me.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working here for more than two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I have never seen a lag or crash type issue.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

For scalability, GoAnywhere MFT is quite scalable. We do not require it to be scaled at a very large amount, so it is not an issue for us, but I think that it is quite scalable. We have never thought about scaling it.

How are customer service and support?

The experience was quite good and helpful. They were able to resolve the issue in a reasonable time.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup took us quite a few days in our case, but we did not require a big team. Initially, we had two to three people involved in this for the setup and the testing of it repeatedly.

What other advice do I have?

Regarding agents, we are aware of this feature and have used it in a very limited way for running tasks on remote systems. We have not used this heavily, so it is not useful where direct connectivity is not possible.

I have not used this specific feature in my use case.

I have heard of it, and I guess it is for when you want to transfer your data extremely fast, but I have not used it and have not needed it.

The maintenance is quite low because once we have set up all the transfers and everything is in place, maintenance is only minimal, so that is not an issue for me. I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

Reliable, Secure, but Needs a UI Refresh

  • April 02, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I totally admire a lot of features of GoAnywhere MFT. What I appreciate most is its ability to combine security, automation, and centralized control into a single easy-to-manage platform. It simplifies file transfer operations and aligns well with business goals like efficiency, compliance, and scalability. The standout feature for me is its workflow automation capability, allowing the design of end-to-end file transfer processes with support for scheduling and event-based triggers, minimizing manual intervention. The platform's strong security and compliance framework, offering end-to-end encryption for file transfers and secure protocols, along with role-based access controls and audit logs, is a significant strength. Another high-value aspect is the centralized visibility and monitoring with a dashboard that offers real-time visibility into all file transfer activities, easy tracking of job status, alerts, and reporting capabilities. Despite being a powerful enterprise tool, GoAnywhere MFT offers a relatively user-friendly and low-code interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's always room for improvement. The user interface can feel outdated; although functional, it's not as modern or intuitive as some newer platforms, and navigation can be cluttered. Certain features require multiple steps to access, and the learning curve for new users can be slightly high. The initial setup and configuration can be complex, needing careful setup and often requiring technical team support, especially if there's no prior MFT experience. Debugging and error handling could be better since troubleshooting can sometimes be challenging, with error messages not always being descriptive. It requires digging into logs to identify root causes, and debugging complex workflows can take time. The platform's out-of-the-box reporting and analytics are limited; advanced analytics need extra effort, and custom reporting is not very flexible, with limited visualization of data. Licensing can be relatively expensive for smaller organizations, with some advanced features incurring additional costs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GoAnywhere MFT to eliminate manual file transfers, ensure secure data exchange, and gain centralized control with automation. It enhances compliance, standardizes partner exchanges, and handles complex volumes efficiently.

Reliable Automation for Secure File Transfers, but Setup Needs Improvement

  • April 01, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how reliable the automation in GoAnywhere MFT is once everything is set up. The workflow builder is fairly intuitive, making it easy to schedule and manage file transfers. I also appreciate that it supports different protocols like SFTP and HTTPS, which makes integrations smoother. The workflow builder simplifies setting up recurring tasks without needing a lot of scripting, and once a flow is created, it can handle tasks like picking up files, processing them, and sending them automatically, which saves a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that could be improved is the initial setup and configuration, which can feel a bit complex, especially for new users. The setup process could be improved with better step-by-step guidance or prebuilt templates for common use cases like SFTP transfers or scheduled workflows. The initial setup was manageable, but not very straightforward. It required some time to understand the different configurations and how everything connects for the first-time user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GoAnywhere MFT automates secure file transfers, reducing manual and inconsistent transfers while enhancing security and compliance. Its intuitive workflow builder simplifies tasks without extensive scripting, saving time.
