What do you dislike about the product?
It has a steep learning curve, so hard to teach, navigating things can b tricky and hard to find if you are not used to it. Support is not great for Sage in general

Sage Intacct is very good accounting software. It allows the easy integration with other softwares via APIs.

It is difficult to understand for the new users. They have complex account numbers, passwords and URLs.

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Sage Intacct is project and support, and I typically use it for day-to-day tasks.

For support, I handle troubleshooting accounting related issues in Sage Intacct, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.

With a project, I handle data migration in Sage Intacct.

What is most valuable?

The best feature Sage Intacct offers is Cash Management.

What stands out to me about Cash Management in Sage Intacct is the ease of tracking transactions and solving bank reconciliations.

Sage Intacct has positively impacted my organization by providing recognition and speed, and its cloud-based nature is an advantage.

Since using Sage Intacct, I have noticed improvements such as the ability for clients to log in wherever they are with just a browser, which makes things easier.

With the live data, Sage Intacct makes it easy for clients to proceed with their day-to-day basis and to see the company's progress.

What needs improvement?

I believe data migration could be improved in Sage Intacct to save time and to minimize working with Excel when dealing with data migration.

I chose a rating of nine out of ten because when busy with a project, sometimes data migration takes longer due to the client using a different system and needing to rely on Excel to clean the data, which can be time-consuming.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Sage Intacct for nine months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In my experience, Sage Intacct is stable with no downtime or issues.

My advice to others looking into using Sage Intacct is that it is cloud-based.

When I say cloud-based, I mean that you can log in anywhere, work remotely, and the data is safe.

I feel we need more consultants on Sage Intacct because the demand from clients keeps on increasing.

What is our primary use case?

I am new to Sage Intacct. My main use case for Sage Intacct so far has been to review PagerDuty and other items, as well as giving feedback. Since I am just getting started, I have not had a chance to explore any features yet or see anything that stands out to me in Sage Intacct.

What is most valuable?

I find that the setup process is quite easy and I appreciate it. The best feature Sage Intacct offers from what I have seen so far is the responsiveness of the page. When I say responsiveness, I mean that when I logged into it, the response was good, the page did not experience any delays, and the UI is also great. The AI integration is also beneficial. Sage Intacct has positively impacted my organization for finding insights, and it has helped me greatly. I use Sage Intacct in financial decisions.

What needs improvement?

I have not found any lag so far, but I think adding more email domains might improve it, as right now it only accepts organization emails. Overall, it is good.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for more than three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Sage Intacct seems very refined and stable from what I have explored.

Sage Intacct will work on a scalability level and will function well for bigger teams.

Sage Intacct is not integrated; I am only exploring it for my understanding. I will highly recommend Sage Intacct to others, regardless of the UI, the response, the AI integration, and everything I appreciate about the financial features. Everything is answered and good. A short poem would have been better, but the interview is quite good overall. I give this review a rating of eight out of ten.

Workflow has become more efficient and reporting has delivered faster, accurate project insights

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Sage Intacct is as an end user, where I assign the cases, review the general entries, and handle the recording of the AP and AR.

A specific example of a task I do with Sage Intacct is when we receive an invoice from the vendor. We generally post it by adding the details and working in the AP. In the case of the AR, we generally book the billing and raise the invoices to the clients for the revenue we build.

What is most valuable?

I find Sage Intacct to be a very useful ERP. Regarding the reporting, it is easy to customize the reports such as P&L for multiple subdivisions and balance sheet for multiple subdivisions. Working under the user-defined divine books is really easy for reallocating the revenue and expenses internally and consolidating it at a top level. It is also easy to maintain intercompany through this process.

Sage Intacct has positively impacted my organization by changing processes and improving efficiency. Initially, I worked on recording transactions on the AP and AR side and performed general entries. Later on, I got the opportunity to do reporting for financial management. When I got promoted to that role, I customized multiple reports from Sage Intacct, such as reporting expenses and revenue separately and consolidating project revenues into a single report to present simply and concisely.

After using Sage Intacct, I noticed specific outcomes including time saved and fewer errors. Previously, we did manual adjustments on Excel, but when we upgraded to Sage Intacct, it became really helpful to do adjustments from the ERP and complete outcomes there, getting updated reports directly for use.

What needs improvement?

I do not have any issues to highlight regarding improvements.

I have not encountered anything that has hindered my work with Sage Intacct, so I have no negative feedback or improvement suggestions for the ERP at this time.

I have been using Sage Intacct for more than three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Sage Intacct is stable in my experience. There is always some downtime with ERPs, however, we did not face any downtime issues in our operations, as they notify us about downtime in advance.

Sage Intacct's scalability is definitely effective. When I joined the organization, we had only two people working in finance operations, and by the time I left, we had 20. It provides scalability for growing data and a user-friendly environment that helps users work smoothly.

How are customer service and support?

One of the best features Sage Intacct offers, in my experience, is particularly good customer service. Whenever I get stuck, I generally connect with them to resolve issues from the ERP.

Their customer service stands out due to their response time and expertise. For example, when I used to do the reporting in my previous organization, I was stuck on creating some reports from their menu. When I reached them via email, they connected with me, and we went on a call where they helped me customize the report and manage reporting from the top level.

Overall, I am satisfied with Sage Intacct's customer support.

I did not previously use a different solution before Sage Intacct. We were only working on Sage Intacct and used separate software for tasks outside any ERP.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a good return on investment using Sage Intacct. Working in a social enterprise, we record transactions of projects and SaaS services separately, and it helps us manage them effectively. Previously, my company used a different ERP, and when I spoke with my VP, I learned about the benefits of switching to Sage Intacct, which has greatly contributed to finance transformation in our operations. It has helped scale our finance operations and transform our processes.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Sage Intacct involves receiving a recurring billing of $10,000 from Sage. I do not know the exact pricing or setup costs, but I am aware of the recurring and license fees.

Before choosing Sage Intacct, I evaluated other options such as QuickBooks and Xero. However, we found Sage Intacct to be a better ERP compared to them due to our involvement with larger NGOs and social impact initiatives, as it has better features that support our daily operations.

What other advice do I have?

I find Sage Intacct really helpful for recording everything easily. I have worked on several ERPs, and I found Sage Intacct to be very easy and useful for people working on it for the first time. It is very user-friendly and helps others learn quickly if they receive the correct guidance and knowledge transfer from their subordinates.

My advice for others looking into using Sage Intacct is that if they want an ERP that helps them work easily, efficiently, and effectively, they can choose Sage Intacct. It is very user-friendly and supports fast learning, allowing the user to navigate within a week. In contrast, more complex ERPs take more than a month to master, while with Sage Intacct, users can learn navigation in two to three days and work on the ERP after just one week of training.

What is our primary use case?

Sage Intacct serves as my main tool for managing demos for stakeholders, conducting meetings, and streamlining various financial processes.

What is most valuable?

The best features Sage Intacct offers in my experience include dimensional charts of accounts, real-time dashboards for reporting, automated workflows and approvals, multi-entity and multi-currency support, a strong core for financials, its integration-friendly platform, audit trails, compliance features, and project, contract, and costing functionalities.

Since we started using Sage Intacct, the biggest improvements have been visibility and efficiency. We now have real-time access to accurate financial data, which means we are not waiting until month-end to understand how we are performing. Reporting that used to take days is now available in minutes, and there are far fewer manual spreadsheets. Overall, Sage Intacct has helped us move faster, improve accuracy, and make better-informed decisions with real-time data.

The biggest outcome for us has been time savings around reporting and month-end close. For example, our monthly management reports went from taking around two to three days to less than half a day, mainly because reports are now real-time and dimensionally driven instead of spreadsheet-based. Reporting time has dropped from days to hours, and errors have decreased significantly due to better controls and automation.

What needs improvement?

Sage Intacct is very strong overall, but if I had to suggest improvements, I would say the learning curve could be smoother for new users. Some of the more powerful features such as advanced reporting and dimension setup are not immediately intuitive, and it takes some experience to use them confidently.

For Sage Intacct integrations, some require more configurations than expected. Deeper out-of-the-box integrations and clear setup guidance would reduce implementation time and reliance on third parties. I would also appreciate supporting documentation and customer customization automation for reporting analytics and gaps.

Sage Intacct is very stable for us as a cloud-hosted SaaS platform with no major downtimes experienced so far. We have not experienced any significant outages that impacted our day-to-day operations. Its high availability, because it is cloud-hosted and managed by Sage on AWS, ensures reliable service with minimal interruptions.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Sage Intacct has scalable capabilities that handle increased volume easily as our transition volumes increase. We can add new entities, business units, and currencies without needing major re-architecture. For instance, when we expanded into a new region, we were able to onboard that entity in Sage Intacct without disrupting existing workflows or needing a separate system for consolidation.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support has been very helpful. When we needed assistance, we reached out mainly for setup questions and clarifications on features or specific reporting challenges. Support responses were professional and knowledgeable, and issues were typically resolved quickly without long delays.

As the organization grew, it became clear that the system could not scale with us, which led to our switch due to the need for stronger reporting, better controls, and support for multi-entity operations. The previous system relied heavily on manual work and spreadsheets, making it harder to obtain timely and accurate insights.

How was the initial setup?

My advice for others looking into using Sage Intacct is to invest in your setup foundationally and spend time designing your dimensional and reporting structures thoughtfully. Getting your chart of accounts and dimensions right early pays huge dividends by saving hours of rework later and making reporting much easier. The real power is in Sage Intacct's real-time dashboards and dimensions reporting, so I recommend creating custom reports and training users on how to slice data effectively. Expect a learning curve, but it is worth it.

What was our ROI?

The biggest ROI came from time savings and process efficiency. Month-end close and management reporting are now about 40 to 50% faster than before, largely because reporting is real-time and dimension-driven instead of being spreadsheet-heavy.

Overall, pricing and licensing felt fair for the value that Sage Intacct delivers, but it is definitely positioned as a mid-market to enterprise solution rather than a low-cost one. The cost made sense once we factored in the time savings, automation, and improved reports. Licensing is modular, so we paid for the core financials and added specific modules we needed, which helped keep costs aligned to our actual use. The setup implementation cost included an upfront configuration, data migration, and initial reporting setup that was expected. Most of the effort went into getting dimensions and reporting right from the start. Although the initial setup was not inexpensive, the ongoing operational efficiencies and reduced manual work meant we saw a clear return on investment over time.

We looked at a few alternatives including NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, and staying with lighter-weight accounting solutions. Each had strengths, but Sage Intacct stood out overall.

What other advice do I have?

One thing that really surprised me was how powerful Sage Intacct reporting and dashboards are once I invested time upfront. Early on, I underestimated how much value I gained from setting up dimensions and saved reports properly. Once that was in place, much of the manual work I used to do in spreadsheets simply went away. I would rate this review a 9 out of 10.

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Sage Intacct at Navis HealthCare involves performing a significant number of journal entries, reconciliations, cash reconciliations, inter-company transfers, and it serves as our general accounting package where I handle uploads for payroll and other functions.

A specific task that I recently completed using Sage Intacct is the implementation of Sage AI packages into our software, alongside my ongoing work on reconciliations for our balance sheet accounts.

What is most valuable?

Sage Intacct offers exceptional features including the integration of multiple entities and the contracts module, which is a very powerful tool, as is the projects module. As a former implementer of Sage, I have nothing but positive things to say about it and can mostly think of positives rather than negatives.

The contracts module has helped us track our clients with multiple contracts by the contract itself, rather than just by the project or particular customer, providing us with another dimension to slice and dice our information.

An example of how the reporting tool has helped my team make decisions is that it continually enables us to see where our money is going, which projects and contracts are consuming our resources, and which ones are actually making the company money. The reporting tool also made it incredibly easy to provide potential investors with the necessary information quickly and easily instead of it taking months. Sage Intacct has positively impacted our organization by providing us with a robust reporting tool that allows us to see into the background of financials without a lot of added effort.

What needs improvement?

I wish Sage Intacct had a more robust interface with their help desk, as right now getting help with Sage is sometimes slow and clunky. However, we are fortunate to have a fantastic customer representative who goes above and beyond to get me answers quickly, but that is because we are a large customer and one they are actively pursuing since we added a lot of functionality in the last year.

I have been using Sage Intacct on and off since 2012, so fifteen years.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before Sage Intacct, I have used many other solutions including Sage 50, QuickBooks, and some proprietary software at different organizations. By far, Sage Intacct is the easiest to use and the best.

What was our ROI?

I have seen an astronomical return on investment with Sage Intacct, particularly regarding time saved. We are in the process of deploying some of the AI tools available within Sage Intacct, specifically the close tool, which is going to be a huge time saver for our monthly close.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I was not part of the evaluation process for other options before choosing Sage Intacct, which is why I point out that using AI for this type of thing may not be the best idea.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using Sage Intacct is to please get a professional implementer to handle the implementation. One problem at Navis HealthCare is that it was poorly implemented, and I have spent the past six months cleaning up their instance with a significant amount of work still ahead of me. I provide this review with an overall rating of ten.
