Improved audit trails and reporting have streamlined accounts payable while multi-currency processing remains challenging

  • December 11, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I have been using Sage Intacct for over three years. My main use case for Sage Intacct is mostly managing accounts payable. Specifically in Sage Intacct, I process payments, post the bills, and maintain the bills from accounts payable. We generate some reports and stage the data in Oracle.

I use an accounts payable automation called Tipalti and sync the bills from Tipalti into Sage Intacct. From there I process the bills and payments that are synced into Sage Intacct.

What is most valuable?

In my opinion, the best features Sage Intacct offers are the way we can see the bills, and it is easy for reports when I need to generate an AP aging report. I can see everything that is open.

Those reports help me in my workflow or decision-making because I can customize them. For example, the AP aging report is customizable. I can add columns and fields, and that is really helpful. I appreciate that the bills are synced and they are accurate regarding the features.

After using Sage Intacct, my organization has been positively impacted because we are able to generate better reports. Things are more secure, and everything has an audit trail. We can easily see who posted a journal entry with the audit stream, reach out to the person who did, and track errors and learn from those mistakes.

What needs improvement?

Applying payments can be a bit difficult when we do comparisons, especially since we use AP adjustments and apply them to each other in a three-currency situation. For a bill that involves three different commissions and currencies, it can be tricky.

Multi-currency support and automation support would help a lot to make this process smoother for me. If Sage Intacct had better support for multi-currency and some automations, that would have made it a 9 or 10.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for over 10 years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In my experience, Sage Intacct is very stable, and I have never had any downtime.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I believe Sage Intacct's scalability is sufficient. We are a company of less than 500 employees with many locations across the globe, but I think the only improvement would have to be multi-currency support.

How are customer service and support?

I have not needed customer support for Sage Intacct at all, so I have no experience with it.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously used QuickBooks. I believe we switched to Sage Intacct because of its security and audit trail.

How was the initial setup?

I was not part of the negotiation regarding pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Sage Intacct.

What about the implementation team?

My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

What was our ROI?

I believe I have seen a return on investment with Sage Intacct because I used to have a team of five AP analysts, but now we are only three. I believe that we saved 20 percent of our time due to the accuracy and easy payments application.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I was not involved in evaluating other options before choosing Sage Intacct.

What other advice do I have?

Sage Intacct is deployed in my organization online on the cloud. We use Microsoft Azure as the cloud provider for Sage Intacct. I would say Sage Intacct is a great tool, and others looking into using it should evaluate how big their company is and if it is worth the amount they have to pay because it is a very robust system. It is great for reporting and payments and very good overall. My rating for this review is not available.

Efficient dashboards have transformed multi-entity reporting and support complex implementation work

  • December 11, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Sage Intacct involves handling Sage Intacct implementation as well as Intacct migration projects.

For one of my projects, I first discuss the requirements of the client, conduct the kickoff call with the client, and understand the structure of the client's requirements. Based on that, I set up the modules: Accounts Payable module, Accounts Receivable module, Cash Management module, and Company module. I also set up the approval process, chart of account, and everything including dimensions, all according to the client's requirement.

I generally deal with all types of requirements, and we also handle the post-go-live support.

What is most valuable?

The best features Sage Intacct offers are the Reporting and Dashboard, which is the main useful feature that everyone will use.

The reporting and dashboard features stand out for me because if we have multi-location, multi-entity, then Sage Intacct has a feature that sets up the auto-entry for the inter-entity transactions. For reporting, we can complete many key features, including building reports on a dimension-wise as well as comparison-wise basis. Over the dashboard, we can also create live dashboards for the revenue side, profit and loss side, and balance sheet side. It is a great feature that we can run and generate reports based on the dimensions.

About the features, there are multiple options, including creating custom reports. Through custom reports, we can build any report that we want, and I do not see that feature in any other software.

Sage Intacct has impacted our organization very positively; we now have a good relationship with Sage Intacct and are working on new projects for Sage Intacct.

What needs improvement?

The main area that everyone wants to improve in Sage Intacct is Cash Management, so I think Cash Management requires more improvement.

In cash management, I find cash reconciliation is not user-friendly compared to what we have seen in any other software.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Sage Intacct for more than four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Sage Intacct is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Sage Intacct's scalability is very good; it scales well over a long period.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support is very good.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before Sage Intacct, we used QuickBooks Desktop and switched from QuickBooks Desktop to Sage Intacct.

What was our ROI?

I have not seen a return on investment.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I am aware that Sage Intacct regularly updates the pricing whenever required, releasing price modules or price notifications. As for setup cost and licensing, we have multiple module-wise charges, and we can say there are phase one, phase two, phase three, and franchise model charges. If we require any additional features or additional users, we need to pay for that.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I did not evaluate other options before choosing Sage Intacct.

What other advice do I have?

For the time-saving side, in the review part, we have an approval process, so each time we get a notification, which saves our time. Email notifications let us know that we need to approve requests or bills, so this occurs in Sage Intacct.

The main advice I give to others looking into using Sage Intacct is that if you have multi-dimension, multi-entity needs, then you definitely need to use Sage Intacct.

I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

Cloud monitoring has improved accuracy and saves time by alerting us to failed jobs quickly

  • December 08, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Sage Intacct is for cloud monitoring.

A specific example of how I use Sage Intacct day-to-day is that we get alarms if any job fails, so we receive alarms from PagerDuty on our monitoring tool, and we go and check the issue and resolve the problem.

Sage Intacct is a great app that makes our work much easier.

What is most valuable?

The best features Sage Intacct offers are the integration with other tools and applications.

A specific example of a positive impact from Sage Intacct is that it has improved accuracy because when we are about to deploy new features and a job fails, it gives us a notification on time on our monitoring tool, so we go and check on time, which saves time for us.

What needs improvement?

I do not have any ideas on how Sage Intacct can be improved, as it is very good for us right now.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Sage Intacct for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Sage Intacct is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

How are customer service and support?

I did not call customer support before because I am not the person responsible for doing that, but if we get any issues, they get resolved in a short time.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not previously use a different solution.

How was the initial setup?

N/A

Powerful Automation of Accounting Process

  • December 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Sage Intacct for its strong automation for core accounting processes. The excellent dimensional reporting and financial visibility are really valuable to me. I also appreciate the real-time dashboards and reporting, which enhance the financial overview. Sage Intacct is scalable for growing US-based businesses, and I find the secure cloud-based access with strong audit controls reassuring. The journal ledger automation streamlines processes and reduces manual errors. It automates vendor processing, approval workflows, and customer invoicing, which significantly cuts down on manual work and saves time. The dimension-based reporting allows for detailed, customizable financial reports, eliminating the need for creating multiple GL accounts. Additionally, automating bank reconciliation is a massive time-saver as bank transactions are automatically matched with system entries, minimizing manual reconciliation efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial implementation of Sage Intacct can be complex, particularly setting up dimensions, workflows, and integrations, which can feel overwhelming for first-time ERP users. The user interface, while powerful, has a learning curve and is not very user-friendly for new accounting users, especially those transitioning from simpler systems like QuickBooks. Customizations and advanced features often require technical expertise, slowing down quick changes. Pricing may feel expensive for small businesses with limited accounting complexity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sage Intacct to automate core accounting processes, streamlining journal ledgers, AP and AR workflows, and bank reconciliations. It reduces manual errors and provides detailed, customizable reports, real-time dashboards, and strong audit controls, supporting multidimensional reporting and financial visibility.

Hospitality accounting has become more accurate and reporting customizations save significant time

  • December 04, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Sage Intacct is hospitality accounting. I use Sage Intacct for hospitality accounting to control the operations of the condo hotels, deposit layers, city layers, guest layers, and inventories for the restaurants.

I perform regular accounting functions including payroll, credit card reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and customized reports.

What is most valuable?

The best features that Sage Intacct offers are report customizations. Some clients request particular reports that are outside the standard reporting list, so it is great to be able to customize the report to fit the client's necessities.

Sage Intacct has positively impacted my organization because it is great software, very robust, and very easy to use. It has helped me reduce errors and reduce time, especially for invoice processing. Sage Intacct is stable, robust, and very complete.

What needs improvement?

Sage Intacct can be improved by integrating AI and offering more dynamic reports. If artificial intelligence can be integrated, it will be great.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Sage Intacct for about seven years.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for Sage Intacct is pretty good.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have used different software such as M3 Core Accounting, Adfolio, and Restaurant365. I evaluated other options before choosing Sage Intacct, and among those options was M3 Core Accounting.

What was our ROI?

Sage Intacct saves time.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using Sage Intacct is that it is a very good investment. Sage Intacct is great software. I would rate this review an eight out of ten.

Monthly financial reporting has become smoother and bank reconciliations are simple and reliable

  • December 03, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Sage Intacct is to record day-to-day transactions and to generate reports, such as financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, AP aging reports, and AR aging reports.

When I use Sage Intacct for generating a report or handling a transaction, such as bank transactions that we download from the bank portal to record, we debit the GL code for the services or items we have purchased and credit the credit card GL accounts.

Regarding my main use case with Sage Intacct, when I prepare financials, we work on monthly financials, so every time we generate reports for income statements and balance sheets, we use it on a monthly basis.

What is most valuable?

In my opinion, the best features Sage Intacct offers are that bank reconciliation is very simple, and the drafting and posting functionality is excellent.

For the bank reconciliation feature, it is simple because when we perform a bank reconciliation, we enter the reconciliation date, such as the end-of-month bank balance, and we simply match transactions with our bank statement, making it easier to reconcile those transactions in a single place.

Sage Intacct has impacted my organization positively as it improves on a regular basis whenever I find glitches. When we prepare financials, we also use Vellixo for Sage Intacct, which makes it challenging to attach every single statement on each transaction.

What needs improvement?

Sage Intacct can be improved, especially when we perform any bank drafting. For each transaction, we have to particularly go to that transaction to attach support documents. If Sage Intacct can improve in this attachment area with the help of Vellixo, it would better save us time.

Regarding Sage Intacct's stability, I am not particularly concerned about the reliability, but if the team can work on cloud performance, it would be better. Sage Intacct occasionally experiences lag while we are working online.

If we can sync our bandwidth with Sage Intacct, it can automatically download the transactions, which would make it easier for us to draft and post from Sage Intacct, ultimately saving us more time.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for more than two and a half years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Regarding Sage Intacct's stability, I am not particularly concerned about the reliability, but if the team can work on cloud performance, it would be better. Sage Intacct occasionally experiences lag while we are working online.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Sage Intacct's scalability is good as it handles our growing needs easily since we use it for our daily operations.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before Sage Intacct, I used Tally ERP software.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using Sage Intacct is that it is better software for you, as it can offer lower costs compared to other accounting software.

Sage Intacct has made things easier for our team, but I do not particularly analyze these things because we have all been using Sage Intacct from the very beginning.

I would rate my overall experience with Sage Intacct an eight out of ten.

Automated inter-company entries and fixed assets have transformed and streamline daily accounting

  • December 02, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I have been using Sage Intacct for five years. I implemented it at three organizations. After go-live, I use Sage Intacct for day-to-day accounting needs. We use it for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and recording journal entries. We use it for everything as our main finance software.

What is most valuable?

Sage Intacct automatically completes inter-company entries, which is extremely useful. Prior to using Sage Intacct, we had to do a lot of manual inter-company reconciliation, so this saves me a lot of time. The best features Sage Intacct offers are automated inter-company reconciliation and the fixed asset module, which is extremely useful as well.

The fixed asset module helps me in my daily work by automating the depreciation process so that it requires less manual work for me and my team. Sage Intacct has positively impacted my organization by streamlining processes such as inter-company reconciliation, making things much faster.

What needs improvement?

Sage Intacct is already very great. If Sage Intacct had automated accounts payable similar to bill.com, that would be helpful as well.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for 10 years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Sage Intacct is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Sage Intacct's scalability is awesome. They are always adding new features.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for Sage Intacct is great. They are very helpful.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We switched from an old version of Navision because it was not suiting our needs.

How was the initial setup?

If you have multiple entities and you are currently doing manual inter-company reconciliation, do not hesitate. Get Sage Intacct.

What about the implementation team?

My supervisor handled my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing.

What was our ROI?

I estimate that we save at least eight hours a month because of those streamlined processes. I have seen a return on investment in terms of time saved.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing Sage Intacct, I did not evaluate other options.

What other advice do I have?

My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer. I rate this product a 9.

Advanced consolidations have provided clear audit-ready reporting and ongoing automation for month-end and forecasting

  • November 30, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Sage Intacct includes advanced consolidations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, user management, company administration, reporting, and fixed assets.

For advanced consolidations, we consolidate our books for 28 consolidating entities at month-end; these entities monitor subsidiary income impact, from which we utilize to draft reporting for key stakeholders and help with budgeting and forecasting for our FP&A teams.

What is most valuable?

The best features Sage Intacct offers include a strong audit trail and compliance measures for SOC 2 requirements, along with a strong marketplace platform for vendors to integrate with Sage Intacct, which can be a viable option as long as you have a good understanding of what you want.

Sage Intacct has positively impacted my organization by bringing clarity with reporting, providing opportunities for internal automation.

From that clarity and reporting, Sage Intacct has definitely given us the opportunity to integrate with Flowcast, a great marketplace vendor for Sage Intacct users, which helps us continue to build upon efficiencies within month-end.

What needs improvement?

Sage Intacct can be improved because it is not always intuitive; there is a lot of money that goes into customization and reworking, and when they pilot new enhancements, they have an early adopter promo that can come with bugs. I think being more cost-efficient with the subscription packages would be the best improvement.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Sage Intacct for four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Sage Intacct is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Sage Intacct's scalability is pretty decent because there are a lot of opportunities for integration packages if you have a strong internal engineering team, and they continue to add new releases every quarter with new features and enhancements, making the scalability pretty safe.

How are customer service and support?

The initial customer support when calling in is pretty generic, and while they capture what you need, the true help comes from their knowledgeable technical teams after forwarding tickets for assistance.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Previously at Cover Whale, we used Wave, which was a free web browser-based general ledger that was not robust or dynamic enough, which is why we moved to Sage Intacct as it was more budget-friendly compared to other ERP options.

How was the initial setup?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is minimal.

What about the implementation team?

Now that we have become more familiar with the product and have poured a lot of investment with a consulting firm at Aqua, the return on investment is kind of early to assess, but we are definitely in the phase of still learning.

What was our ROI?

Now that we have become more familiar with the product and have poured a lot of investment with a consulting firm at Aqua, the return on investment is kind of early to assess, but we are definitely in the phase of still learning.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is minimal.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I was not part of evaluating other options, but I believe they considered NetSuite and Oracle.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for others looking into using Sage Intacct is to have a strong internal engineering team to partner with and to be prepared for your budget around the general ledger to expand as you encounter improvements or bug fixes, along with maintaining a positive mindset to help you push through any circumstances.

I would rate Sage Intacct an eight out of ten because I really enjoy the product overall, and while I am aware of the high budget customizations that can happen with the subscription packages, I do find the product enjoyable and recognize there is always room for improvement, which is why it is not a perfect score, but it reflects my confidence based on my familiarity with it.

Effortless Reporting with Intuitive Filtering

  • November 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The reporting side. It's very easy to filter your options to get the information you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The report format. I wish it was adjustable based on viewing preference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vendor history--this includes coding, descriptions, etc. Always easy to pull it up to remain consistent with my entries.
