Easy to Learn, Easy to Explain
What do you like best about the product?
Easy barrier to entry. Easy readability. It's a solution I can explain the logic in a way someone completely disconnected can understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
3rd party connectivity can be difficult. Server connections and gallery connections are difficult and break.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx allows for automation of manual tasks. I am able to create a process, automate the task, and completely replace an existing Alteryx process in an organization. It's ability to pull from multiple sources and connect to many systems is great.
Easy to Use Software That Just Works

The ease of the software anyone can pick it up and use it

Some of the tools are harder to configure
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to track hurricanes and it allows my team and I to quickly add features without coding
Intuitive Product with a Helpful Altery Community
What do you like best about the product?
I find the product intuitive. If in doubt, the Altery Community should be one place to check on your question.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find support for buggy issues to be somewhat unsatisfactory. But, I believe much of this lies with me. I've been having issues when using the computer vision tools. It takes forever after I drag a tool to the canvas before I can continue with work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx has solved our use tax return preparation process by generating standard work paper files with exceptions for return preparers. Now, we need to fully automate the entire return process

Ease of use. Flexibility, auditability, sharability

Some of the tools are cumbersome. We use box and sharepointe and there is limited functionality around these tools to make them dynamic

The ability to explore data sets easily. Compare two large datasets efficiently. Automating processes from end to end

What do you like best about the product?
It can be used across industries with infinite use cases. It is super user friendly and the Alteryx community is always helpful!

The license cost is very expensive, which can make it difficult to justify to my company why it's a necessary cost, even though it is a very useful tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx is helping me easily connect to multiple data sources, including Excel and database tables, and easily manipulate and cleanse the data. It also is easily scheduled, so it can be built, scheduled, and then automated.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Alteryx is to use. No tech background needed!!

Sometimes it’s hard to debug errors, particularly in macros or embedded macros.

Alteryx is helping our tax users automate repetitive processes, particularly data entry.
Endless Possibilities with User-Friendly Alteryx
What do you like best about the product?
The possibilities feel endless. As someone with limited tech experience, I’ve found that the Alteryx tool doesn’t require a technical background to get started. There are so many tools readily available, and they’re very user-friendly. I was skeptical when my company decided to have our tax team pilot Alteryx, but a year later I can confidently say it’s been one of the best tools my team has had to date.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’m sure this is more of a user issue than a problem with the tech itself, but it’s very easy to overengineer workflows to the point that they become obsolete. I look forward to using AI to help simplify tools to meet specific needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx processes massive amounts of data in a short period of time. What used to take our team weeks to complete now happens in a matter of minutes. The time savings for our team are invaluable, and it has made our workflow much more efficient.
