It is very easy to learn and apply across a broad range of areas. Easy to make updates when needed and explain logic to teams that are unfamiliar with the software

Large data files can be slow to input into the designer workspace

Cyclical functions are automated to transform data into multiple reporting formats and merge multiple reports into on location

glut of tools becomes confusing when trying to do basic tasks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mostly make dashboards for management to track team performance. alteryx has made that a lot easier and intergrates well with other platforms like tabluea
Intuitive No-Code Data Prep That Automates Daily Tasks
What do you like best about the product?
Its really intuitive and easy to use, there's no coding necessary, and it allows for a comprehensive data prep process that automate a lot of my day to day tasks. It changed the way I work for complete, makes my life a lot easier because I can add even more value to my company.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the cost structure of the tool, every new package or connector changes the offer and sometimes requires new investment, that sometimes takes a long time for management to approve and it even may be denied as an additional investment. I think the cost/price is complex and is getting more complex with the consumption credits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its streamlining all of my ETL processes, allowing me to focus my attention to areas where my expertise can contribute to my company.
Easy, Friendly Data Tool That Delivers Faster Results
What do you like best about the product?
It’s an easy, friendly tool and a simple way to manage data. It helps me get to results faster than any other tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is the cost of the licenses. In a large corporation like the one I work for, Alteryx could be used much more and bring many more solutions if it were possible to roll it out across all areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx helps us solve a lot of problems. At the company I work for, we use Alteryx to integrate data from different financial companies that provide cash-in and cash-out information about our customers, often in different formats and layouts. We also rely on it to reconcile a large volume of data, which makes the overall process much more manageable.

What do you like best about the product?
It makes it easy to do complex analytics with minimal coding skills.

Crashes often. Trainings are not very intuitive

Helping with many of the analytics needs of our People Analytics department
Faster Consolidated Journals and More Time for Value-Add Work
What do you like best about the product?
It has enabled our team to consolidate large volumes of data across operating companies, supporting consolidated journal entries. This has sped up journal entry processing and freed up more time for other value-add activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
pricing. When we migrated to Alteryx One, the price jump on a per user level for professional was very large inhibiting the probability of expanding our user base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving issues with inconsistent and unstructured data. Primarily in JE preparation, but looking to move more towards data analytics around Accounting.
Incredibly Easy to Use, Powerful for Data Management and Automation
What do you like best about the product?
It is incredibly easy to use. You can start with almost zero knowledge and start picking up tricks along the way. It is a powerful tool for data management and manipulation, as well as for repetitive process automations
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be very picky when it comes to formats and data types. One typo in your data will stop the entire process and error out. This is significant when non licensed users run your processes through an app or server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx is a huge time-saver when it comes to repetitive reporting. It makes it much easier to gather raw data and transform it into something decision-makers can actually use, which I find invaluable.
