My experience about IBM DB2
What do you like best about the product?
It's interface and the functionality is very friendly. People can perform multiple task with help of query on this platform
What do you dislike about the product?
It's shortcut keys are needed to remember for performing some task. But as a regular user of this platform can create understanding of it easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the help of JCL and SAS language , we can generate multiple data without much effort. Additionally it also provide some other functions like scheduling the job at particular frequency which is very helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
it is very robust, you can trust it 100%, it always work and it's very well maintaned, it's always improving

Out of its users I think it's not very well consider, it is seem as something oldfashioned. It shouldn't be seen like this, but guess it is,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT is fast and never goes down
IMB great database for the past.
What do you like best about the product?
It was my first approach to database and it feels so unsupported some regular expression at least where I use it won't work like regex_like. Also it's a cheaper solution for small company. Also easier to integrate with odbc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unsupported feature. The version I'm running has some lack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This database was unuse to end-user due to its complexity, as a data engineer I start to translate those users need and provide data solutions, without having them touching the database.

The complexity of Db2 can be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping solve security initiatives with HIPAA and GDPR, along with containerized platforms using Kubernetes and Docker.

What do you dislike about the product?
Knowledge Centre is hard to navigate for correct information and syntax. But other than that there is nothing to dislike.

DB2 version 11+ and it's support
What do you like best about the product?
We are the user of IBM DB2 since very early v7. v8, now we are on v11+.
This product after v11+ is amazing ------
* for very large DB (which we are using) the exteded compressed columnar-tables partitioned DB env make the BLU acceleration so fast that our DW's ETL (also IBM product) & Reporting so fast
* the workloads for OLTP are high balanced/improved that make all combined jobs have an average higher performance
* the Nested Loop Join (NLJN) made SQL-Merge so fast that a parallel sort using much less memory. Amazing.
* installation and migration become much easier with altogether software delivery.
* the security even more amzing that extended native encryption from local key store upgraded to enterpise level (with using Key Manager, KMIP)
* overall tech support are making sense. Not bad.
We are preparing to upgrade to DB2 v12. So far, we are overally satisfy this product with using other IBM DB management tool like Datastage (ETL) etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
Still some bugs found with v11.1 (which mostly fixed in v11.5), eg. IT35682; IT39085; IT34931 we experienced. But IBM-Support clearly explained that and provied alternatives.
We hope IBM can develop some kind of GUI All-in-One management (Web based) software/platform for DBA (especially) just like Oracle-Enterprise-Manager. Though there are some 3rd-party software on the market like DBI for DB2 Gui management, we hope IBM can 'invent' own software that could be includeded into the DB2 database software itself (for save on licensing)

All our Database/Data management needs are based on DB2. We are benefited for all DB2 functions for all our daily data management needs
TOP RDBMS, Work with it for over 20 years now and have no regrets about it

The documentation is not always easy to find. But this is more of an IBM issue for all its products.

Amazing features, speed and performance; the constant steady updates and enhancements from IBM; security it provides; interoperability with other DB's.

I can't think of much, perhaps more easy access to information on features and examples when researching on topics.
