Great IDE for programming ATmel chips and Arduino boards for IoT applications
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the Arduino IDE because it is a very user-friendly and easy-to-understand interface. It has several basic programming examples in C language by default, which greatly helps the user when programming peripherals on the Arduino board. Arduino IDE has excellent tools where we can choose the serial port and the speed at which we want to work. When programming, the program tells you which lines of code are wrong, which can help us a lot in very long programs. The color system in the lines of code is very understandable for the user. A very useful tool is the serial monitor, where we can see on our screen the digital and analog inputs and outputs of the program we are making; it is very useful to have real data on our programming. Another great point is including libraries in the Arduino IDE.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact that Arduino IDE doesn't have online adaptations, it would be nice to program from the cloud. Sometimes during the compilation of a very extensive program, it is difficult to find the error because Arduino IDE does not specifically search for the error. The software has some flaws when it comes to connecting with the physical Arduino board, and this causes problems during the program compilation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I advise all Arduino IDE users that when the program does not load their Arduino board, they should connect and disconnect the cable from the serial port. They can also change the internal port configuration from Windows in Device Manager. This program is excellent for creating small robotics projects, so I recommend using it for these cases. Arduino IDE is an excellent compiler for this type of project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With this software, I have created many programs for my studies and my work. With this platform, I have been able to create programs that work only virtually and/or physically. Since it operates on C language programming, it is very simple, and this has helped me create numerous projects in a short time.
A fun way to learn coding!
What do you like best about the product?
Arduino is a really fun way to learn coding. Even though I'm not a computer science person, learning how to code and seeing your code actually doing something is fantastic!!
What do you dislike about the product?
The first set up may take a while (until you learn how to properly connect the hardware with the IDE)

Ease of loading the program. Also, it provides a lot of inbuilt examples for us to study before starting with our project.

Takes a long time to load the program and to compile the program.

What do you like best about the product?
Being a long time user, I can guarantee that you are gonna love it, It is extremely easy to use and learn and develop your projects with minimal knowledge. It's easy to use and interpret. For beginners it is a bliss. It contain numerous libraries and so can be interfaced with many sensors and components to develop real time projects
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a great software. I do not see any drawback in it just that few more libraries can be added, but it's completely optional and overall it's a great software

I perform coding for Arduino microcontroller and interface other components to the MCU, like LCD IR sensor GSM etc etc. In very steps, the output could be obtained.
EASY to learn and use
What do you like best about the product?
It is super easy to learn. I used other programming software and I was familiar with programming language and when I started to use Arduino, it was not hard at all and I could find different libraries on the web and I could find the answer to my questions easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some libraries that are used a lot and they are not included in the main package and every person that need them has to add them to the path themselves.

I am a mechatronics engineer and I am working on different project at university. In some of them such as controlling stepper motors, I need to use Arduino.

It is not hard to learn and there are lots of libraries that you can use

Most of the libraries that I use, I added them myself and it did not include them

We use it to run a stepper motor (for 3D printing )

What do you like best about the product?
Arduino IDE makes it easy to program anything you want on a micro-controller, even if you're a beginner!
What do you dislike about the product?
Arduino shields away a lot of complexity which is an advantage to get started, but limits you later. It also makes understanding how certain things work more difficult, but that's inevitable.

Arduino allows for simple usage, quick prototyping, and open source methods.

The adequacy of the Arduino Platform relies on upon the application that the individual has.

I made my whole house automated with the Arduino UNO. it is cheap, flexible and with all the modules you can add, it is effective.
