Building Global Cloud Skills
Migrating to the cloud is central to Verisk’s ability to quickly deliver innovative solutions at scale, but strategic acquisitions and rapid growth for Verisk has led to varying levels of cloud adoption and knowledge across the business. To create a consistent approach to cloud, Verisk looked to enhance their existing education programs by working with AWS Skills Guild to implement a proven framework to accelerate cloud skills acquisition and cloud adoption. Development of the Verisk Cloud Academy is enabling their entire team to be cloud builders.
Improved Scalability
Verisk delivers innovative services across diverse industries at scale. With a growing number of cloud-fluent staff, Verisk can now better utilize opportunities with automation frameworks and repeatable processes to build more efficient, scalable services and solutions.
Common Cloud Skills
Better Migration
The Cloud Academy program has made more training resources available to all Verisk employees, including content specific to Verisk and its use cases generated on the employee-led Champions blog. This has led to better, quicker migration results.
Excitement at Scale
Generating momentum for the program was crucial for success at scale. Using the AWS Skills Guild framework, Verisk built heightened anticipation for the coming Cloud Academy with 1,450 employees joining the virtual launch–far surpassing the few hundred that were expected.
