Starting today, Amazon EC2 M5 instances are available in the AWS GovCloud (US) Region. M5 instances, the next generation of the Amazon EC2 General Purpose compute instances, were introduced in November 2017 to offer a balance of compute, memory, storage and networking resources for a broad range of customers' workloads.
With these additional regional launches, M5 instances are now available in the AWS US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), Europe (London), Europe (Paris), South America (São Paulo) and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions.
M5 instances are available in 6 sizes, with 2, 4, 8, 16, 48, and 96 vCPUs and are purchasable as On-Demand, Reserved, Spot and as Dedicated Instances or Dedicated Hosts.
