You can now enable AWS X-Ray for your APIs in Amazon API Gateway, making it easier to trace and analyze user requests as they travel through the APIs to the underlining services.
AWS X-Ray helps developers analyze and debug distributed applications, such as those built using a microservices architecture. With X-Ray, you can understand how your application and its underlying services are performing to identify and troubleshoot the root cause of performance issues and errors.
You can now enable AWS X-Ray on your API Gateway APIs to get an end-to-end view of the entire request and visibility in the performance bottlenecks in their components and modules. Using AWS X-Ray traces, you can better analyze, triage and troubleshoot issues and errors in your APIs and their backend services.
