Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose adds cross-account delivery to Amazon Elasticsearch Service

Posted on: Oct 8, 2019

Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose now supports delivery to Amazon Elasticsearch Service across accounts. Now your delivery stream and your Elasticsearch clusters can reside in different accounts. This makes it easier for Amazon Elasticsearch Service customers with multiple accounts to ingest streaming data and analyze it in near real time.

Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose is the easiest way to load streaming data into data stores and analytics tools. You can capture, transform, and load streaming data into Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Elasticsearch Service, and Splunk, enabling near real-time analytics with existing business intelligence tools you are already using today.

With Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose, you don't need to write applications or manage resources. You configure your data producers to send data to Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose, and it automatically delivers the data to the destination that you specified. You can also configure Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose to transform your data before delivering it.

To get started, you would need an AWS account. Once you have an account, you can create a delivery stream in the Amazon Kinesis Console. To learn more, explore the Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose developer guide.
