Amazon Personalize enables you to personalize your website, app, ads, emails, and more, using the same machine learning technology as used by, without requiring any prior machine learning experience. Using Amazon Personalize, you can generate personalized recommendations for your users through a simple API interface. Amazon Personalize now makes it easier to manage your growing item and user catalogs with new APIs for incrementally adding items and users in the datasets that you use in Personalize to create personalized recommendations.

To use Personalize, you need to provide the service user interaction data (page views, sign-ups, purchases, etc.) from your applications, along with optional user demographic information (age, location, etc.) and inventory of the items you want to recommend, such as articles, products, videos, or music. Then, entirely under the covers, Personalize will process and examine the data, identify what is meaningful, trains and optimizes a personalization model that is customized for your data, and is accessible via an API that can be easily invoked by your business application. You can use both historical data stored in Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) and streaming data sent in real-time from a JavaScript tracker or server-side. Now as you discover new users or expand your product catalog with new items, this information can be easily added to your Amazon Personalize solutions.
