AWS Elemental MediaTailor now supports Enhanced Debug Logs that provide valuable information to troubleshoot playback session issues. When debug log mode is enabled, MediaTailor records all manifest requests and response payloads to the CloudWatch Logs for expanded diagnostics information. Learn more in our blog.
Additional MediaTailor enhancements include:
- WebVTT subtitle tracks are now supported for DASH, providing a seamless viewer experience across media and ad playback.
- Non-linear ads are supported using the VAST non-linear ad element to provide static ads (jpg image) for display in the player.
- Ad Marker passthrough is now available for HLS streams. It can be used to support TVs and players that provide additional SCTE related features.
