You can now extract data from SAP ERP/BW applications (including ECC, BW, BW/4HANA and S/4HANA) to AWS services in just a few clicks using Amazon AppFlow and SAP OData APIs.

This allows you to execute data flows with SAP systems as a source, without provisioning hardware or developing custom connectors. AWS Developers can programmatically use Appflow API/CLIs to manage connectivity to SAP applications, and transfer data over PrivateLink including authorization for SAP endpoints, translation of data format, and automation of data transfer through one single interface.

Today’s launch enables a variety of use cases such as pulling Master Data updates (like Material or Plant Information) or Transactional Data (like Purchase or Consignment Orders) from SAP ERP (S/4HANA, ECC) to a data lake on Amazon S3.

Amazon AppFlow is a fully managed integration service that enables you to securely transfer data between Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications like Salesforce, Zendesk, Slack, and ServiceNow, and AWS services like Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift, in just a few clicks.
