You can now access D-Wave’s Advantage 4.1 quantum annealing system on Amazon Braket, the AWS quantum computing service. According to D-Wave, the new Advantage quantum processing unit (QPU) has more than 5,000 active qubits with 15-way connectivity to enable researchers and developers to explore larger and more complex optimization problems.
With today’s launch, Amazon Braket now offers customers access to three D-Wave QPUs: the new Advantage 4.1 QPU, the existing Advantage 1.1 QPU, and the 2000Q QPU. Based on D-Wave specifications, the Advantage systems have two-and-a-half times more qubits than the D-Wave 2000Q, with more than twice the connectivity of the 2000Q. Furthermore, in comparison to the Advantage 1.1, the latest Advantage 4.1 QPU offers an increased yield for available qubits and couplers enabling customers to run larger programs more compactly. Additional details on these QPUs can be found on the Amazon Braket console devices page. You can use any of the three D-Wave QPUs and switch between them using the Amazon Braket SDK or the Amazon Braket plugin for the D-Wave Ocean SDK.
You can access D-Wave systems in the AWS US West (Oregon) Region. Pricing information for the Advantage 4.1 QPU is available here. To learn more and get started, visit the Amazon Braket D-Wave page, console, and documentation.
