AWS Glue Interactive Sessions are now generally available. They provide a new interface into AWS Glue's highly scalable Serverless Spark environment. They support interactive data integration job development, data exploration, and on-demand distributed data processing for customers' own applications.
AWS Glue is a serverless data integration service for both data engineers and data analysts. Interactive Sessions let them process data interactively using the Jupyter-based notebook or IDE of their choice. Sessions start in seconds and have built-in cost management, as well as the option to use either Glue version 2.0 or 3.0. As with AWS Glue jobs, customers pay for only the resources they use.
This feature is now available in all commercial AWS Regions where AWS Glue is available. For information on pricing, visit our pricing page.
