Developers can now use live transcription with Amazon Chime SDK in AWS GovCloud (US) Regions to generate live audio transcriptions. The Amazon Chime SDK lets developers add intelligent real-time audio, video, and screen share to their web and mobile applications. AWS GovCloud (US) allows U.S. government agencies and contractors to move communication workloads into the cloud while addressing their specific regulatory and compliance requirements.
Amazon Chime SDK lets developers host WebRTC media sessions in both AWS GovCloud (US) Regions. Amazon Chime SDK integrates with Amazon Transcribe to deliver “who said what” transcription information direct to each session participant. Each user’s audio is processed individually to help improve accuracy when multiple people are talking. The audio from the top two active talkers is sent to Amazon Transcribe, in separate channels, via a single stream. Developers can use the transcription information to render real-time machine-generated captions or dynamically build a session transcript.
Live transcription uses Amazon Transcribe in the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region, and provides access to all the streaming languages supported by Amazon Transcribe, as well as features such as automatic language identification, vocabulary filters, content identification, custom vocabularies, and custom language models. Standard Amazon Transcribe costs apply.
