AWS IoT services enable you to easily and securely connect and manage billions of devices. In this session you will create a simulator application and publish data to AWS IoT, associate a Simple Notification Service action with an AWS IoT rule, and publish state change to a device shadow. To successfully complete the lab, you will need to be familiar with the Amazon EC2 service and how to connect to a Linux-based EC2 instance using SSH, as well as Amazon SNS to create and subscribe to a topic.
