Q: What health and safety measures will be taken at the event? 
A: Health and safety remains our top priority. At the AWS Financial Services Cloud Symposium, the following health measures will be in place:
 
  • All AWS Financial Services Cloud Symposium attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to checking in at the event. “Fully vaccinated” is defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as two weeks after a second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
  • Record of COVID-19 vaccination must be provided at onsite check-in to enter the event space . Acceptable records include your physical COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card, a photo of your vaccination/immunization card, or a digital verification from a smartphone application. The name on your vaccination record must match your government issued ID.
  • Everyone in attendance must wear a mask at all times except when eating or drinking. A mask is defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric used to completely cover your nose and mouth and fit snugly against the sides of the face. Attendees may provide their own mask that complies with this guidance, or use a mask provided by AWS. Face shields, bandanas, and masks with ventilation will not be allowed.
  • All attendees are required to comply with the health measures. Signage and additional staffing will be in place to support health measures. Revisions will be made in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Amazon Corporate, and federal, state, and local requirements.
