Dependable backup for hybrid environments — support team is a real asset
What do you like best about the product?
NAKIVO covers both on-premises and cloud infrastructure protection seamlessly in a single solution. The interface is straightforward, the backup jobs are stable and require minimal maintenance. Support team deserves special mention — every interaction has been informative and genuinely helpful, not just generic replies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation for some advanced features could be more detailed, though the support team compensates for this well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protecting hybrid infrastructure — both on-premises servers and cloud workloads — from a single management console. NAKIVO eliminates the need for separate backup tools for different environments, reducing operational overhead. Data replication ensures business continuity, and the reliable recovery options give confidence that we can restore quickly when needed.
Fast, Reliable Backups and a Great Fit with Nakivo
What do you like best about the product?
Over the past few years, we, as a hosting company, have used many backup solutions. However, we were always looking for a better match, because they never fit 100% in our environment. We started by using the free version and were very pleased with the results. After a good discussion with the sales and technical guys from Nakivo, we decided to move forward and purchase paid licenses. What I like most is the speed at which the backup software can complete a backup.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there is a downside, it would be the long wait when restoring a particular file from weeks ago. It can take quite some time to restore, for example, a backed-up file of 30 GB. However, since I was using the free version and I’ve experienced the support team’s technical expertise and knowledge, I’m confident I could achieve much better results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our customers want to have a backup of their files not only in the Microsoft cloud, but also on-prem. The Microsoft 365 backup component makes that possible!

What do you like best about the product?
NAKIVO Backup & Replication stands out as a reliable and intuitive data‑protection solution. Its simple interface makes configuring backups and restores easy, even for users without extensive experience. Managing both physical environments and VMware virtual machines is smooth, with fast and accurate restore procedures at both file and full‑machine level. The software delivers excellent performance and strong stability in daily operations. Another key advantage is the effortless integration with S3‑compatible storage. Connecting cloud buckets such as AWS or Backblaze takes only a few steps and enables the creation of hybrid or fully cloud‑based backup strategies with ease. Overall, NAKIVO combines usability, speed, and flexibility, making infrastructure protection a straightforward and dependable process.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, I don’t have any negative opinions about the product. Everything has worked smoothly so far, and I haven’t encountered issues that would lead me to view it unfavorably.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication is helping me centralize and automate the protection of both physical systems and VMware environments, reducing the time spent on manual backup tasks. Its fast, reliable restores and easy cloud integration ensure stronger data resilience and smoother business continuity.

Unmatched Support and Cost-Effective Backup Solution
What do you like best about the product?
I really like NAKIVO Backup & Replication's Flash Restore feature, which helped us quickly determine if the restore point was clean from ransomware. The Immutability feature offers assurance that we are protected from good backups being wiped out. The cost is also a huge plus—it is 10 times less than our previous option. I appreciate its configurability as we are not limited by software restrictions or poor features, making it very robust. Most importantly, the live phone or Google Meet support with a software engineer is invaluable. Setting it up was very easy as NAKIVO assisted via Google Meets. Additionally, the excellent support made learning the interface much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me a while to figure out the interface, but that's on me. However, with NAKIVO's excellent support, they were able to walk me through until I got it figured out. Hand holding is important when critical restores are at hand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NAKIVO Backup & Replication provides reliable, granular backups of VMs, especially for Exchange Server. Features like Flash Restore ensure clean restore points, Immutability protects backups from being wiped, and the cost is significantly less than other options. Configurability and live support are invaluable.
Efficient Replication with User-Friendly Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I like NAKIVO Backup & Replication because of its great user experience and seamless deployment. It's super easy to set up, and it doesn't consume much storage space, which is perfect for replicating data between production and DR sites without the unnecessary use of local storage. The solution aligns directly with what the customer needs in terms of replication, unlike my experiences with previous products. I switched from Acronis and Altaro by Hornet Security because NAKIVO doesn't require backing up locally before replicating, saving storage and data space, and it offers better customer service and pricing.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication enables us to replicate data between our production and DR sites easily without consuming much storage space. It avoids the large storage issues we faced with other solutions and fits the customer's needs.
Excellent Value Alternative to Veeam Backup
What do you like best about the product?
It’s a great alternative for companies that don’t need all the features of Veeam Backup and restore at a very competitive price.

There is nothing to dislike, the support team is amazing

It fits most environments that need an enterprise solution but don’t feel comfortable or don’t have the budget to be paying enterprise prices.

This ensures that backups are performed on time and minimizes the possibility of operational errors. I also highly value the immutable copies, which ensure that backups cannot be altered or encrypted by ransomware. This capability provides exceptional security by ensuring we always have an intact and recoverable copy of the company's information. Additionally, the initial setup of NAKIVO Backup & Replication was quite simple, even without prior experience with the tool, which was a relief. This positive experience makes me highly recommend NAKIVO Backup & Replication as a reliable tool for protecting information and automating tasks that significantly reduce the workload.

I believe they could offer a greater number of training webinars to better utilize the tool.
