With latest updates, it requires lot off memory and disk space. So in order to run it efficiently as a VM , you need a good host with good processing power.
There should be more softwares already installed in Ubuntu rather then downloading them afterwards.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Ubuntu to develop software. The products of my company are all Linuxed-based machines. (Storage, Switch, etc.)
Since it's easy to install any package on Ubuntu, it's effortless to make a proof of concept quickly before I start to implement it on our Linux-based products.

Ubuntu - An operating system that can be used for all use cases
What do you like best about the product?
I started using ubuntu for my education needs. But now, it became my preferred operating system. The reason I love ubuntu is its flexibility. It would be easy for you to understand the usability if I list how I configured my machine with the operating system. Here are some: I have implemented cron jobs to automatically download movies in the nighttime (using the night data), I have implemented app indicators to access my day-to-day resources, etc. Apart from these programming-related things, I have to admit that using ubuntu is pretty straightforward. We don't need to worry about viruses and all. The UI also direct and excellent.

The only thing I wish ubuntu could have is support gaming as windows.
