Ubuntu Server
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu Server is my favorite flavor of Linux. We have hundreds of virtual Ubuntu Servers in our production environment and it's by far the easiest to maintain. Overall this is a 10/10 OS and I would recommend to anyone who is either wanting to learn Linux or has plenty of Linux experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only dislike is that in 18.04 they changed where to edit the network configuration, but that's more of an annoyance than anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefits we see are the resources required to run the operating system. Ubuntu (much like most Linux flavors) are not resource intensive, so it makes the overall functionality of the machine run much smoother.
Ubuntu is very interesting to use and has a larger community

A free and open-source working framework with an amazing framework based on Linux is the thing that Ubuntu is about. It is so natural to utilize in any event, when you are changing from Windows. There are no long-running superfluous employments running in backend, less possibility of getting assaulted by malware and allowed to utilize permit is the reason I changed from Windows to Ubuntu.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite the fact that the best part about utilizing ubuntu is that is has a wide network of designers utilizing it, The individuals consistently don't utilize ubuntu as much as Windows. Contrasted with windows, it gives less GUI highlights. For Non-IT individuals, it is as yet awkward to utilize it every day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On the off chance that you are a designer, I would prescribe you to put it all on the line undoubtedly. Be that as it may, in the event that you are a non-IT individual and need to utilize it every day, I would prescribe thinking about different choices.

The Best Operating System For Beginners in Linux.
What do you like best about the product?
It is a free software package with an excellent program. you are doing not would like a license to use ubuntu. It doesn't need the user to be a school geek to use it. The user in spite of victimization of the terminal he/she is in a position to use GUI. it's conjointly a secure program, which suggests that the user doesn't ought to install associate antivirus. it's customizable every and every single component from the instant you put in it. it's potential to run it while not putting in it employing a virtual machine. for many operational systems, the user must restart their pc for the updates to be put in which may extremely be time expensive, with ubuntu you are doing not ought to restart it
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not appealing to most users, it's just like the program was solely developed for under developers since they need higher blessings than the other user mistreatment it. Middlewares like Cpanel isn't supported by ubuntu. It focuses additional on sudo by default and forgets the root account. To run most programs the user has to understand the terminal and use its commands.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Come up with a better GUI such that all users even those who do not understand technology are able to use your product.
Solid, fully supported operanting system for the casual user or the enterprise
What do you like best about the product?
Over the years, Ubuntu has risen to the top of the linux stack due to it's solid release model and their superb support of the product. Having tried other flavors of Linux in the past (such as Centos, RedHat, Arch), I find Ubuntu to provide the easiest and most comprehensive deployment of the Linux environment. Their desktop experience is among the most well-maintained distributions out there. I personally like the debian-based apt package management approach, with their support for community-maintained PPA repositories. Another feature I love is their netplan-based approach to networking, which makes automated network configuration a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the things I dislike are the changes in choice of installer for servers. The minimal installer has worked well for many years. The new one has introduced a number of problems that server administrators shouldn't really have to deal with. Also, it might seem a little like nitpicking, but Ubuntu is not exactly the leanest distribution out there. All things considered, and where we are in this day and age in terms of hardware, I suppose it becomes a non-issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I maintain a number of internal servers with applications used for collaboration in development. Over the years, we have tried to streamline our setup. With the introduction of docker into our environment, we have been able to really accelerate and solidify the way we handle our apps. In my opinion, Ubuntu is one of the best docker host OSes. I understand that there are leaner OSes for docker, such as alpine, arch, etc...but Ubuntu is really one of the best supported. It literally takes 5-10 minutes to install a new Ubuntu server, install the docker subsystem, and voila, we have a new application server, which we can trust to continue to be updated for the next 10 years (in the case of LTS versions).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for an easy to maintain OS to host docker services, Ubuntu is your choice.
Friend Operating System for Developers
What do you like best about the product?
Very secure operating system & it respects users security rather than any operating system. Ubuntu is the free. You didn't care about commercial use of this operating system.
GNOME makes life easier for users. Installation is also very simple. Everyone can install Ubuntu. It is highly customizable.
Ubuntu has helpful community which users helps each other. Also if you are user of Windows, you can easily run Windows applications via Wine.
If there is some bug & you reported it, be sure that it will be fixed in next releases. They work very good for such type issues. If you are using Docker or Kubernetes, Ubuntu supports it, rather than Windows. Virtual machines is also good oriented in Ubuntu.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think in future GNOME Software Tool should provide more functionalities than nowadays. Currently it is not more stable also. Sometimes it crashes.
Also it has many problems with hardware devices which it is not easy some hardware to Ubuntu, like as GSM modems, data cards, etc.
Some of softwares like Photoshop & some design tools, are not smooth in this operating system.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I like that Ubuntu is open source. It is not use many RAM as other popular operating system. User can control every process. Also it is very fast. For example, for testing I run simple application which was faster 1.4 times than Windows 7.
The Windows alternative you should go to first if you are used to proprietary OS
What do you like best about the product?
Much is made about Ubuntu being OpenSource, but for a lot of people coming from Windows that is a cause for concern because they feel like its an amatuer project. Ubuntu is produced by Canonical an actual company who forked off of the Debian Project, as a result they direct the overall design of the project and work with other projects that they incorporate into their OS. Yes people are allowed to look at the source code and submit changes for consideration, as well as help them iron out bugs. Each year they produce a long term release in April which they offer support for several years; as well as a test release in October of things that will likely be featured the following April. So do not let this arrangement prevent you from switching from Windows.
What do you dislike about the product?
The OS is far less resource intensive than Windows which makes it great for extending the life of aging machines that would have grinded to a laggy mess otherwise. The biggest hurdle you will experience is having to use the terminal to download programs from the repositories, but these are often provided by the software’s creator, so all you need to do is copy and paste it into the terminal and it is no more dangerous than installing it any other way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I would highly recommend this OS to anyone looking for a smooth, easy to use user experience and doubly so if they are on other hardware.
