ubuntu
What do you like best about the product?
I have tried Ubuntu at home, and in my work the answer is always reliable. It is clear that users need to learn as the experience becomes better and better when exploring alternatives. However, there is no need to be overly aware of its use, there will always be a critical software cleaner, but it is easily overlooked due to the variety of capabilities offered by the distribution.
What do you dislike about the product?
You need to have a good understanding of how to find file systems and content - this is the biggest obstacle I have included.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Local integrated app menus, utility launches and minimizing, it has never been easier to unlock, and VMware works great with improved graphics and speed. Very easy to use and install. It's highly customizable and it's free. Most people around use it and know it, finding technical support and sharing documents, apps with others is easy. Linux Ubuntu has a lot of viruses. Every six months or so, with kernel modules and enhancements, Linux hardware support is up to date. Never before has it been so good. My gaming experience has changed forever.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend including Ubuntu in the developing world because it is more powerful and secure than Windows. It has many features that make your work easier and easier
The very best operating system for startups and free users.
What do you like best about the product?
This is a very easy operating system that any user who knows the basics of installing an OS can install. It has great features like an app store, so users don't need to learn to use the terminal.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just more GUI and allow all Windows apps to install directly without any VINE type apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Free open office software cannot be used like Microsoft Office, so it would be great if it allowed direct installation as well. However, it's understandable since it's open source, we need to help improve it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Improve Design and provide timely updates, and allow all Windows software to be installed without any third-party packages.
#Ubuntu
What do you like best about the product?
Any ways Ubuntu is a Operating system which is for those who wants simplify everything. Wants just be relaxed and do nothing. This operating system gives you ability to rest, because there is not very often updates and there is no "viruses" which can hurt you for daily work. I think this is for those who don't use many kind of softwares and wants just surf in to the internet and watch videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
what I dislike is the many software which is for windows and we can run it on it, here it is not. there is some emulators which can run some of softs on linux but it is not the goal. The main thing what I dislike is that many mnay of software is not for linux, so for ubuntu.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the main benefit what I had is that I put the token on the machine which "wears" the ubuntu operating system and it is about one year I don't care about it. I mean it is very stable and does it's job. In some situations I turn on that machine just because electricity has some problems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Ubuntu to use in any kind of situations. As an admin it is very stable operating system. I use Ubuntu for token which is connected via VPN to another Ubuntu in the Goverment institution. So I think the Desktop Version and The Server Version is both Stable, as linux is.
Best free OS
What do you like best about the product?
Very smooth & faster. If you know bit Linux then you can manage all the components with this OS. Good forum for all your queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, I am not seen any issue so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it for all kind of development.
Ubuntu
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu has all what it takes for school, personal or business workstation... takes times but very friendly user.
What do you dislike about the product?
we dont have ms office version to be installed easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits we realized no headach with the stupidity of key license, no blocking features what does windows 10, no spying what windows 10 does, just install and work in peace. Ubuntu is far best OS. for all.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to have your data secure, not leaked. No hassle with the licence key waste of time with Microsoft, blocking your Windows until you activate and more. Ubuntu is the solution for all the pain Microsoft is doing to you.
Ubuntu is my favourite Linux implementation.
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu has the most attractive user interface of any linux operating system I have used. Has a biggest community and following. Performs very well even on computers with lower specifications and on virtual machines
What do you dislike about the product?
Ubuntu installations are tricky for beginners. The installation is very technical especially when you have to decide partitions and ext file systems that you might not really understand
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu is open source and therefore a potent alternative if you can't afford the windows O.S license
Best OS for professional development.
What do you like best about the product?
The first thing about this OS is that it is Open-sourced, that means we do not require to purchase it. The community support for Linux/Ubuntu is enormous and for software development, it is the best OS. The best thing is that most of the tools that are developed nowadays in the market are first made compitable to use with Linux/Ubuntu. The Command-Line Interface provided with ubuntu is great and also it is much more secure as compared to few other OS available out there in the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the best part about using ubuntu is that is has a wide community of developers using it, The people on a daily basis do not use ubuntu as much as Windows. Compared to windows, it provides fewer GUI features. For Non-IT people, it is still cumbersome to use it on a daily basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use ubuntu OS on a daily basis. It is easy to do development on this and it starts up in no time and I can install software on this very quickly. It consumes less memory and we can track easily as to how much each software is consuming and can stop that software. The biggest advantage is that it is open source and free to use and modify as one needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a developer, I would recommend you to go for it without any doubt. But if you are a non-IT person and want to use it on a daily basis, I would recommend considering other options.
