What do you like best about the product?
With the now rapid-decline of Windows, Ubuntu is the safe way to freedom.

What do you dislike about the product?
Although it can also be considered a blessing, software updates can pop up at any given time. But it's ok...update will proceed in the background if you want, and 9 times out of 10, you will not have to restart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can set the acquisition of marketing analytics as a background task, and just keep doing everything else that I need to do, without waiting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For full benefit, it's recommended that before making the switch, acquire some basic user skills in the Debian Linux genre... mainly in use of "bash" and "sh" shells. The desktop (Gnome) is easy enough to use, but using the shell via a "terminal" window, or via an "ssh" connection is a little more complex, and you will need to know your way around it, when doing administrative jobbies, to keep yourself from damaging the system files.

The open source nature of Ubuntu, especially with regards to software development makes it very easy to get started quickly and get something done. Plus, the shell interface!
Amazing open source software
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about ubuntu is that it is open source, you could practically edit each of the internal files and understand how does a operating system works. Also Tensorflow works great in this system, rather than in windows
What do you dislike about the product?
A disadvantage of using Ubuntu is that the Media players are very much outdated. Also it is a bit intimidating when you install Ubuntu in a dual boot manner. When I was a novice, I deleted my windows partition while installing ubuntu. The grub installer also yields some problem while installing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tensorflow and Keras are my primary work currently. The benefit that I have realized is that everything can be modified and there is a great community out there where you could ask answers from. Also recently I have been doing API related Flask work, and Ubuntu is awesome!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its amazing, far better than commercial operating systems and it saves you 100 dollars
An Ubuntu lover's review of the OS

Ubuntu, Linux for humans
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu is a great introduction into the space of Linux. It has a robust community and an easy to setup and use system. You can also use many different Desktop Environments so the OS suites your tastes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is open source and so it has some hiccups with brand new hardware. You must force the kernel to update to recognize some hardware.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting our imaging server and a few other utility servers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to read the documentation and listen to the community when you need support. There is a lot of great help out there.
Love Ubuntu!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility of Ubuntu. It is easy to use from the terminal and easy to use from the GUI. It runs pretty much everything we need to administrate our servers, I think its the industry standard for servers
What do you dislike about the product?
Ubuntu is not very user-friendly as other operating systems like windows is, especially for beginners they have to struggle a lot to get a habit of it, installing any software in Ubuntu is not just a double-click thing it could be a headache for those wanting to use it as a operating system at home
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu is our servers primary OS
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You may have a bit of a learning curve coming from Windows. Stick with it, Ubuntu is brilliant and the community is really supportive. After a bit you will wonder why you ever though it was a challenge.
Fully secure operating system
What do you like best about the product?
Safety is one of the factors that drive any ubuntu user to choose it. It's lightweight, very editable, and great for us programmers, as we can do everything through the terminal. I am programmer C and can program and compile my codes through GCC in the Linux terminal
What do you dislike about the product?
On the other hand, using Ubuntu deprives us of some things we could do on windows, for example. Some applications are not yet compatible with Linux, some games are not. Working with RPA and all leading market tools do not work on Linux distributions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu is an open source operating system, so many companies, including my own, end up opting to use it, since operating system licenses can be expensive. Security is another important factor in getting us to use ubuntu in our company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ubuntu is a very secure open source operating system, ideal for use by programmers, since it is possible to program directly through the Linux terminal
Ubuntu - As awesome OS
What do you like best about the product?
I am a developer and Ubuntu is an awesome platform for me. It is very easy to install new softwares and tools, through the command line interface a.k.a terminal. It is exactly to the point, and you can expect to get things done really quickly provided you know the right commands.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI is still growing, I would say it is mature enough, but for some it may still be a bit of a setback. Running windows softwares could sometimes be painful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used for some machine learning and AI algorithms,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Worth a try. If you need something that gets the work done and enjoy working on a terminal instead of a graphical user interface, Ubuntu is a nice option. It definitely is one of the best-operating systems ever.
