  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu's performance and stability are what I appreciate most about it. It is a fantastic option for both personal and professional use because it functions flawlessly even on computers with low-end hardware. The system feels strong but light.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some proprietary software and drivers aren’t always available, or they may require extra configuration to get working properly. If you’re coming from another operating system, the learning curve can also feel a bit steep at first, especially while you’re getting used to the new setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu meets my need for a secure, stable, and cost-effective operating system. It removes licensing costs while still delivering enterprise-level reliability.

Smooth, Lightweight Linux Setup for AI/ML Workflows

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As an AI developer, the development of AI/ML projects and workflows is very smooth. I can install TensorFlow, PyTorch, CUDA drivers, and Docker with simple apt commands, instead of wrestling with dependencies like I used to on Windows. It’s also very lightweight and doesn’t take up too much space. Running multiple Python environments, Docker containers, and background services simultaneously doesn't bog down my system like other OSs
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest issue is the lack of software support. Many popular applications and games are built for Windows or Mac, but not for Linux, which means I either have to rely on workarounds like Wine or I simply can’t use them at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu solved my biggest challenge: building and deploying complex AI workflows without the performance degradation or compatibility issues I constantly ran into on Windows. I can now run multiple Docker containers, Kubernetes clusters, NVIDIA NIM services, and vector databases at the same time without any lag, which has cut my deployment time from 2–3 hours down to 15–20 minutes. Native support for virtually every AI/ML framework PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, Hugging Face, and CUDA means everything works smoothly with proper GPU acceleration, without the usual dependency hell. On top of that, the massive open-source community offers pre-built solutions and troubleshooting guides for whatever stack I’m working with, saving me at least 10 hours per week in debugging time.

Free, Secure, and Highly Customizable—Ubuntu at Its Best

  • February 04, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Ubuntu is that it’s free, open-source, and highly customizable, which gives users a lot of control over their system.

Ubuntu is especially helpful because it’s reliable, has strong security features, and works well with a wide range of software and development tools. For me, the biggest upsides are its faster performance and the fact that I experience fewer system crashes.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Ubuntu is that some proprietary software and certain hardware drivers aren’t always fully supported right out of the box. It can also come with a learning curve for people who are new to Linux, especially when they need to use the terminal for more advanced tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu solves problems for businesses by providing a secure, stable, and cost-effective operating system that reduces reliance on expensive licensing fees. For me, it delivers reliable performance, consistent security updates, and the flexibility to run business, development, and cloud applications efficiently, without unnecessary overhead.

Superb Performance, Ideal for Development

  • February 03, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Ubuntu for my daily development work and other tasks, and it's my default OS on my laptop. It's fast and reliable, and compared to other operating systems, it is the fastest and safest option for me. I love that Ubuntu is compatible with any software or tool I need to use, which makes it versatile. The best part for me is its performance; it's super fast, allowing me to multitask easily. During development, I often use heavy software, and Ubuntu loads things faster, saving me a lot of loading time. I can easily install development tools like VS Code, Android Studio, and emulators for daily use. I recommend Ubuntu 10 out of 10 because it's the best OS at this time.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far everything works fine. Some minor things like clipboard history that must be allowed without any external software. Also my laptop fingerprint does not work with Ubuntu.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu is fast, reliable, and safe, making it perfect for development work with heavy software. It saves time with swift performance and is compatible with any tool.

Beginner-Friendly, Open-Source CLI Tool That’s Easy to Use

  • February 02, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s very easy to use if you have basic knowledge of Linux or if you want to work through the command-line interface. It’s beginner-friendly and open source, which makes it a very good option for beginners.
What do you dislike about the product?
If commands are executed without the user understanding what they do, they can delete the entire system or corrupt it. It’s better to have a basic understanding of what you’re running before executing anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because it’s open source and straightforward, it’s very useful for running many open-source applications. There’s no bloatware or unnecessary system issues, and overall it feels direct, stable, and secure.

Ubuntu: Essential Tools at Your Fingertips with Easy Setup

  • January 29, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Ubuntu as a Windows Subsystem for Linux in my Windows system for Docker and Redis. It's a Linux-based system, so I can do a lot of things over the terminal, making it easy to deal with Docker containers. I like that it has all the Linux tools in its distro repository, which means I can easily install any tool I need, whether it's to run Docker, MySQL, or Java. The initial setup of Ubuntu is very much easy; you can install it as a virtual machine, via Docker, as WSL, or even dual boot.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the GUI thing can be improved. Ubuntu has a laggy GUI; it can be made more faster and smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Ubuntu for running Docker and Redis on Windows via WSL. It solves issues by providing a Linux terminal, making it easy to manage Docker containers. Having all the Linux tools in the distro repo lets me install tools for Docker, MySQL, or Java easily.
