Convenient and easy to use tool to launch in production and organize Early Adopter programs
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, possibility to handle feature flags across multiple environments or datacenter, possible to notify in a slack channel, easy to add accounts to the enabled or disabled list with autocompletion, integration with our SSO (OKTA)
What do you dislike about the product?
the list and search feature for finding the right flag you're looking for could be a little bit more intuitive and nicer, but it still works ok. Not so easy to browse the history of changed features, there is an audit log and one for each flag so I guess it's ok
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy and SOC2 compliant delivery of features in production that are staged and supporting Early Adopter programs by enabling some customers only. We are much more efficient and can collaborate with instant enabling of features when we (including doc) are all ready to start a feature, and can also instantly revert it if there is an issue.
My experience with LaunchDarkly has been fantastic.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy integration of the SDK into our software has been. They have several different SDKs depending on the client type. The documentation for integrating the different SDKs has been easy to consume and apply in practice.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see some improvements to the management platform. There are areas, such as targeting, where I believe the user experience could be improved quite a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, we are mostly using LaunchDarkly from a development perspective to hide active feature development from our users. We can follow trunk-based development practices and release versions of the software that can be exposed to just our QA staff in production so that testing can take place in that environment which is often easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend getting a trial version of the LaunchDarkly and giving it a try. Once you start to use the platform you'll realize how easy it is to use.
Great development tool that simplifies feature flags
What do you like best about the product?
Launch darkly lets me easily turn feature flags on and off to control experimental code or beta code.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a need for better documentation around the implementation of the feature flags in the codebase
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Launch Darkly lets me hide any experimental/beta code from the end user, it also allows us to use feature flags to isolate any downtime.
Breaking feature deployment barrier
What do you like best about the product?
I do really like how easy is to set up the flags, it almost took 1 day for my team to get the flags ready from both sides, Frontend and Backend. I also like how stable is the service.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no actual dislikes for the services. it works as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem we are solving with LaunchDarkly is releasing the features safely and targeting the feature publish for the user base we want to target.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good choice, but if you are going to be a heavy user don't forget to use the tagging service for the flags so u can group by them later.

My experience on LD has been pretty good!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it's easy to use, organized, and very intuitive. I use it to toggle our features on and off on a daily basis
What do you dislike about the product?
N/A - I like everything about it so far. Any issues I have would be a limitation of our own system
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving the problem of ensuring our platform stays smooth and users get the best customized experience possible.
Useful and simple
What do you like best about the product?
The conditions to define open or closed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's gone missy, the way of organizing flags not too good
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly AB testing and non completed features deployment

What do you dislike about the product?
nothing so far, but maybe enhancing more the pricing plans
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manage the product features via flags according to its subscription plans, locations, custom condition...etc
User Improvements at some developer expense
What do you like best about the product?
LaunchDarkly makes it much easier to deliver production-ready code without getting every feature through testing before merging to the main branch. It also allows us to selectively toggle features for specific users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cleaning up feature flags can be cumbersome. Removing a feature flag (once it is no longer needed) is time-consuming and usually requires consultation with the original author. Feature flags tend to pile up quickly, resulting in technical debt that stakeholders struggle to see the value in tackling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started using LaunchDarkly to stop maintaining different 'development' and 'production' branches. The benefits have outweighed the costs. We no longer have to worry about significant conflicts when merging code for deployment.
Does exactly what it promises to!
What do you like best about the product?
It's pretty straightforward! As a PM, we use LaunchDarkly to add clients to a beta, to turn on features for demo accounts for testing purposes, etc. It's a straightforward tool that does exactly what it promises.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I've never run into a scenario where I needed LaunchDarkly to do something that it didn't. No complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability for non-technical people to easily turn features on and off for specific accouns.
Easy and dependable
What do you like best about the product?
Super quick to launch features and experiments and roll back as necessary immediately. There are good options for rolling out to required user groups or individuals and lots of oversight features available if you want to be extra careful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Segments and granularity within them can make things unwieldy as they grow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gating releases, allowing individuals responsible for deploying a feature. Benefits include being quicker to market and easy rollbacks, so team members aren't unnecessarily pulled back into work that has is complete.
