Effortless Email Security with Seamless Integration

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Barracuda Email Protection is easy to use, which simplifies our operations and makes it accessible for everyone on the team. It integrates seamlessly with all the tools we use, enhancing our workflow without any hiccups. The ability to have an interface in Outlook that lets users identify unwanted emails is particularly valuable. The initial setup was straightforward, reducing the usual setup headaches. Overall, it effectively reduces phishing, scams, and malware, providing a secure email environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any dislikes.

Barracuda Email Protection reduces phishing, scams, and malware while being easy to use and integrates seamlessly with our tools.

Seamless Microsoft Integration, Robust Email Security

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy Barracuda Email Protection is to integrate with our Microsoft products, enhancing our workflow and security capabilities. The service's functionality goes beyond just email defense, providing a comprehensive solution that includes email archiving and incident response, which I find invaluable. The ability to monitor potential account takeover incidents through its integration with Microsoft Entra ID is particularly beneficial for keeping our accounts secure. I appreciate the wide range of services Barracuda Email Protection offers as well as the numerous integration options it provides with Microsoft products. Setting it up was pretty seamless for us, as we could efficiently export and import our sender policies across various domains, which made the transition from Proofpoint smooth and hassle-free.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Machine Learning aspect of Barracuda Email Protection doesn't seem to be fully consistent, making it difficult to manage false positives effectively. When I mark an email as a false positive, the system sometimes blocks similar emails from the same sender again due to their 'score'.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Barracuda Email Protection to prevent security incidents by blocking malicious emails and ensuring long-term email archiving. The integration with Microsoft products enhances our defense tools and allows monitoring of potential account takeovers.

Excellent Phishing Protection for Peace of Mind

What do you like best about the product?
It catches a lot of phishing emails that our end users receive, which is great so we in IT don't have to worry too much.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was used to the older user interface, now it is a new interface and kind of lost where things are at. I wish they could have some sort of documentation or even email awareness of the change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Definitely Phishing emails. We receive a ton of those.

Invaluable for Phishing Protection, But Not for Everyone

What do you like best about the product?
I find Barracuda Email Protection to be incredibly effective in protecting against phishing scams, especially for companies vulnerable to such threats. Its ability to conduct thorough and intense analysis of actual communications within an organization—both internally and externally—helps it become familiar with legitimate communication patterns, making it adept at identifying and preventing fraudulent attempts. This feature effectively closes the gap and assists in catching scams where someone might impersonate a vendor or an employee to extract sensitive information or funds. Additionally, the setup process was incredibly easy from an admin perspective, which is a big plus, contributing to overall efficiency and ease of deployment within our IT infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the quarantine notification system of Barracuda Email Protection to be somewhat archaic and not smooth. It would be beneficial if there was an app or a separate mailbox for more immediate access to quarantined emails. Currently, recipients have to wait for a quarantine summary email, which can take too long if there's an urgent need to monitor for false positives. This delay could be problematic, especially in cases where timely access could prevent issues. Additionally, the product's pricing model does not scale well for businesses with fewer than 10 users. Having to purchase a minimum of 10 licenses seems like a waste for smaller companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Barracuda Email Protection enhances phishing protection effectively, reducing financial losses from scams. It thoroughly analyzes communications to detect fraud, benefiting my clients on Microsoft 365 by closing gaps left by other platforms' spam and phishing filters.

What do you like best about the product?
I think the portal is fairly intuitive and I really like the incident response module.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lately it seems like a higher percentage of spam and phishing emails are making it through the filtering to the point I'm considering moving to a different solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Preventing time loss and improving security.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to navigate and generally works very well at blocking unwanted emails and looking for threats.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a sender has been manually added to the safe sender list but continues to get blocked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Limits useless and scam emails, and protects against some threats from bad actors.

What do you like best about the product?
1. Self reporting capabilities integrated with MS Outlook email (Barracuda Email Prortection Add in) and Barracuda Essentials
2. Self service portal (Email Gateway Defense) for quarantine management
3. Easy Administration
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Sensitivity: Parameters being too stringent to screen legitimate email.
2. Email Gateway Defense: only allows users to free 1 email at a time from quarantine, as opposed to @domain or sender.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Excellent Spam Protection and User-Friendly Interface

What do you like best about the product?
I really like it keeps out about 80% of the spam and phishing emails and does a really good job of not flagging the incorrect emails for the most part. I like how easy it is to block emails manually and report them to the incident response. I also like that it gives you emails when a suspcious email is found. In addition, I like how you can modify most settings without having to look too far. I can always find what I'm looking for with the interface (most of the time). Also, when I need it, customer support has been great and will help with the issues I'm having. Overall, I really like the product since I don't have to use it that much. When I have used it, it's easy to use. The cloud-to-cloud backup is really nice as well and puts my mind at ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ocassionally it will let emails through that are spam or harmful. Sometimes there will be false posistives as well with account takeover protection but that's almost a plus rather than a negative. Also, sometimes an option won't work or will take some finding to implement but this is rare. Otherwise, the feature set is very extensive and very good. Most of the time the fault lies with Office 365 and not Barracuda but sometimes figuring that out takes some time. Managing both services can be a pain but that is not Barracuda's fault at all. I will have to say that figuring out which settings are global and which are application specific can be tricky as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making sure spam emails are blocked and not hitting end users. This makes it so I don't have to worry about them being phished out of their personal information. In addition, I save time by not having to report these matters. With cloud-to-cloud backup, it backs up all the Office 365 data and makes it so I have peace of mind if Microsoft decides to delete the information we have on Office 365 forever. So not having to worry about that is great.

The new interface isn't ideal for me. I was accustomed to the previous version and found it easier to use.
