What do you like best about the product?

The UI is very easy to understand and the options which allow us to add or remove or control the domain is quite easy

I quite noticed even we allow some domains and allow under exception and request report we still see the emails in spam for that particular domain, not everytime but often i see

The sales agents and other software products sales emails which we have asked to exempt is very beneficial

Barracuda was being used in Organization for long time they has good baseline Spam and Virus/malicious content protection and threat protection

it did not have AI automation support and granular machine learning support. Did not have Human Risk management, Price Hikes with no additional security features was reason we left them. administration control required training.

we are not using Barracuda anymore

The software was straightforward to set up, with a clear and intuitive user interface that makes it easy to monitor email activity and review quarantined messages. It integrated smoothly with our Microsoft 365 environment and runs reliably in the background without noticeably affecting email performance. The pricing provides a good return on investment by reducing manual monitoring and helping protect the business from costly phishing attacks and compromised accounts. Support and onboarding were thorough, and the AI has been effective at detecting phishing attempts, malicious links and other suspicious emails while keeping false positives manageable.

What do you dislike about the product?

The main drawback is that some advanced settings and reports can be difficult to locate within the interface. Although the Microsoft 365 integration works well, configuration changes still require administrator knowledge and careful policy management. The AI occasionally quarantines legitimate emails, meaning they must be manually reviewed and released, which can delay important messages. The monthly cost is also significant, so the return on investment can be difficult to measure when no major incidents occur. While onboarding was thorough, more complex support issues can take time to investigate, and the reasons behind some AI decisions are not always immediately clear.

Barracuda Email Protection helps protect our Microsoft 365 environment from phishing, impersonation attempts, spam, malicious links and harmful attachments. It identifies and quarantines suspicious messages before they reach users, which reduces the risk of account compromise, data loss and business disruption. This also saves our IT team time by reducing the number of threats that need to be investigated manually and gives us better visibility and control over email security across the business.

The administration interface could be more intuitive and immediate. Additionally, some advanced configurations take a bit of time to understand, especially in the early stages of use.

I like how Barracuda Email Protection offers a simple-to-use interface with advanced features. The one-click release email back to inbox feature is something I find particularly valuable. I also appreciate that it saves time by having all blocks with alerting in place. The vast features and simple-to-view dashboards were a big reason for switching to it. The initial setup was very simple, thanks to the on-screen instructions and guides on Barracuda Campus.

What do you dislike about the product?

Some of the settings that relate to each other are in completely different sections, making it a bit confusing to manage. It would be helpful to have all the settings for related stuff in one place.

I use Barracuda Email Protection to prevent phishing and spam, saving time with its all-in-one blocking and alert features.

The platform is very easy for any IT admin to navigate and use.

What do you dislike about the product?

I didn’t have DKIM records configured for my domain, which caused Apple to reject emails coming from my domain. If Barracuda had pointed me to the reason my emails were being rejected, it would have been much easier to troubleshoot and I could have avoided wasting so much time.

It offers impersonation protection and strong protection against spam emails, with email backup as an added advantage.

Barracuda Email Protection has been extremely effective at identifying and blocking spam, phishing attempts, and other malicious emails before they reach our users. In a hospitality environment where email security is critical, it significantly reduces risk and saves us time by preventing threats from reaching inboxes. The administration portal is straightforward to use, making it easy to review quarantined messages, manage policies, and investigate potential threats. It also integrates seamlessly with Microsoft 365, performs reliably, and gives us confidence that our email environment is well protected. The support team has been responsive and helpful whenever we've needed assistance.

What do you dislike about the product?

Occasionally, a spam or phishing email still makes it through the filtering system and needs to be reported manually. That said, once I report it, Barracuda is quick to identify the threat and improve detection, which helps prevent similar emails from reaching users in the future. I’d also like to see them add some AI features.

Before implementing Barracuda Email Protection, we spent a lot of time dealing with spam, phishing attempts, and suspicious emails that still made it into users’ inboxes. Since rolling it out, Barracuda has significantly reduced these issues by blocking threats before they reach our staff, which helps lower the risk of account compromise and other security incidents.

As a result, our IT team saves time, we see fewer user-reported email problems, and employees can focus on their work without constantly worrying about unwanted or risky messages. The reporting and quarantine tools also make it straightforward to review and manage emails when needed, giving us better visibility and control over our email security. Overall, it has improved both security and productivity across the business. I use this system daily, and it’s been a big help to the business.
