Automox V2

What do you like best about the product?
Beyond what I already mentioned (very useful and powerful, ease of use, ease of implementation, ease of integration), one new thing I like is how Automox handles Autonomous Endpoint Management (AEM). It reduces manual work by automating patch management and policy enforcement across OSes without needing traditional agents or scripts for basic tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Yes. As I mentioned before, if you don't have prior experience with the solution, some actions like launching your own scripts can feel complicated. I think Automox could improve by adding more guided wizards or templates for custom scripts, so less experienced users can run them more confidently without deep scripting knowledge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The automatations that you can implement for specific task

What do you like best about the product?
I like the wide range of software available to patch.
Deployment is easy.
Monitoring and management is efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there was a way to automate remediations, it would be nice, but that's a tough ask.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of patch management

What do you like best about the product?
Great tool when you need to manage the network without a full work force. Get a big view on the network vulnerability and then deploy updates needed from your desk.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I had more options of moving the dashboard around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox is helping keeping everone patch and keeping an on on what has truly been updated.

What do you like best about the product?
It helps patch vulnerabilities that would otherwise take days to complete with manual intervention. We love to use this to deploy custom worklets which help meet compliance standards on devices. Patching and remediation for third-party apps is a game changer as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any downsides to Automox, it's easy enough to implement!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vulnerability remediation and third-party application packaging. It saves several hours of having to keep apps up to date within Task Sequences when imaging devices.

What do you like best about the product?
- It works across windows, linux and macs
- No need to VPN to get updates and computer configurations
- Easy to use, nice GUI.
What do you dislike about the product?
- If somehow it could be agentless then it would be a lot better but not sure how this would be achieved.
- Doesn't scan for vulnerabilities
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making patching easier and confiuratiosn across our multi-OS estate simpler and faster!

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and to push out end points to users. The dashboard is clean and simple to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the end point will stop talking to the main control panel. You have to force start the service, or uninstall and reinstall it on the end point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps keeps out end users machines up to date. We also use it to push out PS scripts

Automox - A tool that should be in every IT team toolkit

What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to setup, customer support is resposive and helpful! If you have a blended environment, it is easy to scope policies to your windows and mac machines. The reporting is great and easy to follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the Otto AI should only be used as means to help you, there are times that is has thrown out some really bizzare responses. That will take some time to mature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a blended environment (50/50 mac and windows), and this greatly helps us with patching both OS's. Cuts down on trying to manage 2 different tools.

Automox is a great solution that just works

What do you like best about the product?
Automox is a great solution that works really well across all platforms. I have tested against Tanium and for ease of use, functionallity, performance, and platform support Automox out performed in all areas. Not only did I test the product but the support as well and their support team is very responsive, add the community support that they have you can get most any issue resolved quickly. If you know power shell then you can use Automox to do even more.

Their third party support is very good as well. I was able to install the agent on vendor supplied appliances in a monitor only mode, this allowed me to keep my vendors in compliance when they were found to not updating security patches in a timely manor. For example Automox was able to detect Suricata signature updates and found out that one of the vendors had a configuration issue that stopped the signatures from updating. I was able to catch this and work with the vendor to get this resolved, without the notification from Automox I would have never known that this was not updating.

Emplemetation could not be any easier, just download the agent and push it out using the automation platform of choice. I was able to use PDQ Deploy to push this out to all end points with no issues. Its integration with Crowd Strike end point protection allows you to deploy using their agent to deploy.

I have found that once you get it setup the way you want it with the groups and patching profiles you do not need to log in to the console very often. Just setup your reports and it will tell you when there is an issue. I do logon to the console on a weekly bases just to confirm everything is working.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would like to see improved would be the dashboard, feels a little outdated and needs a refresh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to monitor all applications across Windows, Linux, and Mac systems, local and remote, then push out patches to those that need it and remove software that is against our policies.
