Very good to automate patching process
What do you like best about the product?
The very easy and intuitive graphical interface it offers
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps the dashboards could be improved to make them a bit more user-friendly when it comes to making decisions about what is critical and what is important.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mitigation of vulnerabilities at the operating system level. It resolves them by automatically patching the various components and applications of the operating system.
Good patching software which patches WIndows/MacOS as well as 3rd party applications
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to configure set and forget patching policies
What do you dislike about the product?
Automox agents get disconnected frequently and the troublehsooting of the issue is hard. This means device siwll miss patches if the agent is disconnected
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is dolving the problem of having 3rd party applications patches as well as patching first part updates such as windows updates. SInce its agent based once an agent is installed on an end device the device will be added to the automox console and we can configure set and forget patching policies which automatically patches the devices and keep it upto date with the latest security updates.
Automox has made our lives easier with helping us with critical IT services.
What do you like best about the product?
Automox's ability to monitor and release patches with pre-approval has been our biggest help so far. It is our only solution for this as it is critical we document our monthly patches.
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally have no complaints, it has worked exactly as we need so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is critical we document what patches we are to push out each month for our documentation. Automox makes the process painless each month.
Easy Patch and Policy Management
What do you like best about the product?
Automox can be used to apply patches, custom policies, deploy code, etc. for Windows, MacOs, and Linux distributions with relative ease and has a library of premade scripts to get started quickly with. When done right, most policies are a set-and-forget experience, requiring only occasional logins to change or reapply to individual machines or entire groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of premade scripts to get started with that should be sufficient for getting your team off the ground, however since it is largely script-based, this does also require a significant understanding of all the operating systems in your environment and how to get things done in their respective console or terminal applications whenever changes or more advanced scripts are required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's keeping both physical hardware assigned to employees and remote servers updated and compliant with our security practices so that we seldom have to remediate these issues manually.
Windows and 3rd party app patching made SIMPLE!
What do you like best about the product?
Automox has been a LIFE SAVER when it comes to Windows Security patchin and third party app patching. With previous auto-patching tools we've dealt with counter-intuitive scheduling, confusing GUIs, and lack of clarity around what is patched, what needs to be patched. Automox just works out of the gate after creating policies, and the Dashboard tells us exactly the information we need, regarding workstations that are compliant/non-compliant, the status of our custom policies, and critical patches still needed across the organization.
We've also been leveraging the app deployment tool whish was something we didn't know we would use until we did and it's exceptional at deploying apps. Status of deployment is instant; there is no clicking around to find logs and error messages.
This is one of the few tools that we've been able to "set and forget", and we know it's doing its job. Such a relief in a world of complicated and unintuitive SaaS apps.

What do you dislike about the product?
The remote access tool could use some polishing. It is sometimes slow to connect and occassionally does not connect at all. Also, sometimes the mouse is offset by an inch or two within the remote session, making it very hard to work in it. We're working with support on this.
Also, having to login multiple times throughout the day, each time AutoMox is opened, gets tedious. Having a 'stay logged in for the day' option would be helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox provides Windows Security patching based on scheduling, severity, and workstation/user availability. Previously we used tools that were either too intrusive, not automated, or not simple to use. Automox solves those problems.
Great tool to update devices and deploy software!
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to look up devices by device name or user name. Pushing updates, seeing when it was last rebooted and deploying to them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like a "find my device" style application built in for mobile devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Windows update patching and keeping our assets current.
A good tool for managing updates.
What do you like best about the product?
We use Automox to manage patching for several different OS types (Linux, MacOS and Windows) across our organization. Automox has made that whole process much easier. Before we had to use three different tools to manage the patching for each OS. Now we can manage patches from one place. There are also a lot of different features that almost make this an RMM level solution that we have found very useful as well. The remote support feature is one I would call out as very useful. Deployment was fairly easy as well. It does require an agent to install but configuration of the agent wasn't needed. It was a simple install and key input to get everything running.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be a bit overwhelming at first. It can be difficult to see what should be happening to each device as they can have several rules applied but there isn't a way to see how they all work together. You can see rules for each group but you will need to drill down into that group rather than that info being available on each device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing patching for each OS that we have running in our environment.
Well rounded patch management.
What do you like best about the product?
My IT team really likes that you are able to create various different worklets that offer a good amount of granularity to manage our patching.
What do you dislike about the product?
Often times if a device does not communicate immediately it will push and update causing the target devices to restart in the middle of a work day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us to organize our patch management in a way that keeps every device on the same page.
Great Single Paine of Glass software
What do you like best about the product?
There are many things I like about Automox, but its automation is what I love most about it. It’s so helpful to be able to schedule tasks and set it to run without having to think about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Automox has some great features, but they seem like they’re hidden away on purpose. I’ve had problems accessing them on more than one occasion, and I had to resort to digging around the documentation each time. That’s not always an ideal option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I really like that the Automox dashboard has a way to highlight patches that are critical. This streamlines the patch deployment process and allows me to address the most important security vulnerabilities first.
Overall good patching system
What do you like best about the product?
Shows CVVE vulnerabilites, easy to group by OS and version.
What do you dislike about the product?
The agent disconnects sometimes and remains disconnected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Place to monitor and patch all systems.
