  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The simplistic and easy to use platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the lack features that it has compared to things you’re capable of doing on cloud platforms like AWS, GCLOUD, AZURE etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automatic shutdown and control of spending due to VMs running
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For basic overall control of your cloud platform it’s great for automating tedious tasks that you might be doing manually.

What do you like best about the product?
Recommendations on how to optimise or cloud environment
What do you dislike about the product?
Disklike that PMC sometime overrides changes I make in the AWS control panel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used PMC to streamline our cloud environment, and automate the starting and shutdown of several cloud servers that do not need to be running 24/7

Great service: reliable and easy to use

  • March 25, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The service is:
- Easy to use: They have a lot of updated step by step guides to help you setup the service
- Reliable: I always had my server up and down at the right time, I use the service since 1 year, I just performed the initial setup and then I forgot about it and it always worked well
- Has a good free plan that you can try on some server instances inside a single project
What do you dislike about the product?
- Support: Some months ago I didn't find a way to reboot a server instance once a day at a specified time (with no downtime except for the reboot time), I wrote to the support but no one answered.
Maybe in the meantime they implemented it (or maybe it was already there and I didn't find it)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to have a server up for 3 hours a day starting always at the same time in a defined time zone.
By using the Park My Cloud I spend only 1/8th of the server monthly cost and I don't have to create and maintain a dedicated infrastructure to perform the job
I was tempted to implement a custom solution to perform the scheduling job but I am happy that I chose Park My Cloud since I can rely on them and I don't have to handle any future issue like API changes by my server provider or similar issues
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the free tier since the service is really easy to setup

Comprehensive scheduling tools for our AWS environments

  • March 25, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
PMC has allowed us to visually schedule our AWS resources and power them off during non-core business hours. We have found this to be superior to a stack of python scripts utilised previously to achieve the same time. It has allowed us to be able to modify schedules quickly based on the business need should instances be required to be powered on overnight.
Integration with Slack allows us to see changes to schedules and when instances are powered on and if colleagues has modified a schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
Quirk in the creation of Logical groups set a number of instances that were added to be powered off during the business day. It didn't cause an outage, but made us very aware of the power of this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy powering on and off of AWS instances based on schedules that we have defined.
Ease of use if there is a requirement to change a schedule at short notice. Summary of cost savings when modifying a schedule is a nice touch.

It works great for easy scheduling of Azure resources.

    Management Consulting

Easy Interface and manageability

  • March 25, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
All of my servers are listed right there and easy to see.
What do you dislike about the product?
The snoozing schedule is a little odd. It'd be great to schedule a windows of time in advance of when you want to suspend/snooze a server but I don't think that is an option right now. This doesn't allow us to preset for a server to be on when one of my coworkers needs it after regular up-time hours - for example most of our servers are off over the weekend. But if they need to work on a Saturday to catch up with reports or whatever, it's difficult to figure out how and when to turn it on for them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's great to set schedules for servers that you can depend on. This reserved up-time is saving my company money.
We're also saving power and office rental space by not having on-site server hardware. This also helps alleviate the liability of actually having server hardware that we are responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and eventually having to sell or get rid of since technology is changing so quickly these days.

Its very user friendly and cost effective

  • March 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We can search the server - using citrix name or ES name also. and to run the server just give hrs. for how much time do you want the server need to be run. its very easy to find out which server is parked, which is running , which is suspended.
This is a new 3rd party tool we are using to manage costs within Azure by helping to automate the scheduling of server uptime/downtime.
What do you dislike about the product?
Before this we were using the azure machines to run up the servers. now its very useful tool so didn't find the dislike yet. Just to say something here, we need to run the server again after the hrs are ended.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many of the servers were scheduled to turn off at 8pm Eastern. that was no longer be the case, they will instead be turned off by default and can be turned on by any user for a specified period of time, at the end of which it will be turned back off. This is bit easier to turn servers on, as they’ve been grouped into logical environment names. Instead of logging into the Azure Portal and finding the servers you need, you’ll login to PMC and just find the environment. It will turn on all the servers as needed.
