What do you like best about the product?
The best thing for me is that it is cost-effective, and the performance it provides with the help of AI and all other tools is really nice.

I feel initially that it is not that easy to learn or understand as there is not very much documentation, which probably increases my learning curve.

I believe IBM Turbonomic addresses several key challenges in managing IT resources, particularly in hybrid and multicloud environments. But it also ensures that applications have the resources they need to perform optimally, reducing waste and improving cost efficiency.

There are mutiple best thing about IBM turbonomic like the AI automated resource management , performace optimization and the best one full stack visibility of the application and its infrastruce.

How has it helped my organization?
It can consolidate and amalgamate all the efforts. Before using it, we had multiple reports, tools, and sources of information that we needed to consolidate. With IBM Turbonomic, we can operate everything in a single console and view everything in a unified way. This allows us to address key performance issues and spending concerns that we identify, optimizing our operations to work better for our customers and us.
What is most valuable?
The overall price, the dashboards, and the FinOps capabilities are important features. The ability to manage all the budgets is also crucial.
What needs improvement?
The implementation could be enhanced.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using IBM Turbonomic as an integrator for the past year.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
50 users are using this solution. As an integrator, we're constantly looking for new logs and trying to make some of our customers for whom we do not provide cloud services part of that new ecosystem.
How was the initial setup?
Initially, it can be tricky as you have to configure everything. The setup requires a significant level of effort. If there were a way to migrate or import some features or have some preconfigured settings, it would greatly help with the initial setup. It takes three to four months as per standard operation.
We have engineers who are certified in the tools. We have a couple of product managers, but the main source of disruption, or at least delays, is the integration and dependency on other areas. For example, if we want to integrate the CMDB with the monitoring tools we already have in place for each of our different customers, it requires time and dependencies not only on the availability of people but also on the ability to make changes to the environments.
What was our ROI?
The ROI is very good. Although it's expensive, you can fully implement the recommendations from the various tools and dashboards and easily recover the investment within the first year.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It offers different scenarios. It provides more capabilities than many other tools available. Typically, its price is set as a percentage of the consumption of some of our customers' services. The cost will vary depending on the specific scenario, but it is not cheap.
What other advice do I have?
You can easily maintain it once you get into a stable mode with IBM Turbonomic. The operations team that adopted the tool is getting a lot of value from it, making it easier for them to manage and consolidate their work. It doesn't ramp up your AppDV or resource needs but helps improve and optimize them. We are using fewer people now.
It has a lot of capabilities. We haven't encountered any scalability issues. The way we have implemented it has helped us easily incorporate new customer sets.
There weren't many people with the skills to implement and manage IBM Turbonomic, so we had to develop the team's expertise. However, once we overcame that hurdle, managing it became easier.
Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

the widget which it added where we can navigate into pending action into individual account . Coolest thing is to easily toggle between multiple cloud enviroment. it is very action specicfic toggling

the internal configuration is too handy in the first come . If we want to change the positing of each div then its very hard to customize.

IBM Turbonomic eases out the lives of cloud administrators
What do you like best about the product?
I got a chance to work with IBM turbonomic for one of my client whose infrastructure is hosted on AWS. The AI powered solutions for cost optimization is top notch. Earlier I had a hard time figuring out how we can save on cost for our client but after using IBM turbonomic we we were able to significantly bring down the cost. We are also exploring the architectural inefficiencies in our infrastructure. Customer support is great. It is easy to use has a simple UI/UX which helps to get started with it easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although there is nothing much to dislike about it but for a small workload the pricing is bit on a higher side but no complaints because the solution it proviced for cost optimisation has a good roi.

The main problem IBM turbonomic is solving for me is to bring down the cost of the infrastructure hosted on AWS.

it's integration with APIs to generate a comprehensive dependency map, where we can connect any tech we use to optimise it. Turbonomics is good in identifying bottlenecks in our process that can give the status of performance, efficiency and the cost involved.

turbonomics permissions can be improvised for role based access control, there can be customized permissions as per the requirements of the users need.This is something a user needs in it.

We are using IBM Turbonomic for the cost optimisation for our infrastructure hosted on the AWS and also identifying the gaps in our architecture. It has been really helpful in bringing down the overall cost and managing the infrastructure more efficiently. It's AI powered automation solutions are very helpful and make the administrators like me life easier.

So far didn't find anything to dislike but just a suggestion for the the turbonomic team to make the UI a bit more simpler to use.

Earlier we were seeing a lot of costs spike in our infrastructure and it was really difficult to pinpoint where the probelm lies. With Turbonomic's AI powered automation we have drastically saved on the cost by identifying where are the gaps in the infrastructure.

I like the use cases and how those are made simple with the integration of multiple features at one tool. Good customer Support and Technical Support availability. Documentations are really helpful and concise.

Too Technical, hard to use for a newbie and It's a bit difficult to understand the arch layer and stability with the solution
