Excellent for SME and Enterprise

What do you like best about the product?
Very flexible solution, all the options are there to adjust the mail flow to address even the most complex environments. The smart search also makes it easy to troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues. Their support is great and usually able to resolve issues in a timely manner.
The combination of Phish Alarm with TRAP saves a significant about of time needed to investigate incidents by automating part of the investigation and response process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of their terminologies can be confusing depending on your background. For example, if you have a network background it might take a while to realize that Policy routes in PP are more of a definition and not an action.

I would be nice if more of their products can be merged or accessed from one console (single pane of glass), I believe that they are making progress in this area, but there is still more room for improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protecting our organizations from modern threats. And enabling us to easily work with various 3rd party solutions to address our complex needs with ease.

We are also able to reduce our total cost of ownership by using automation vias custom actions and API integration with our other tools.

TAP and TRAP have been vital tools to help remediate any email that initially slipped past the policies. This combination has frequently been able to take action quickly and often before we are aware of the issue.

Take a look at their whole portfolio, things work better together.

What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoint is at the forefront of innovation when it comes to email security. They are constantly acquiring new companies to push their areas of expertise.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found any areas that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the most complex problems Proopoint has solved is when a user clicks phishing emails when working from home. TAP (targeted attack protection) has solved this issue.

Great team. Easily reachable.

What do you like best about the product?
ProofPoint Email Security and Protection provide us a robust and reliable 24/7 message hygiene and secure email services. Ever since we signed up with ProofPoint Hygiene Service we have zero SEV 1 for any SMTP related incident, ProofPoint Email Security and Protection is a services we can trust and they have knowledgeable support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuration export of from the POD and Email firewall rule reorganization with a number instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very customizable email firewall rule, I can use the rule to meet different line of business unique email routing requirement.

What do you like best about the product?
Customer support is excellent and the engineers are knowledgeable
What do you dislike about the product?
To get support you will need to have a ticket number before help center will talk to you
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it primarily for mail hygiene but also we see who are the most attacked user and we extra protect our executives

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it pulls bad emails from exchange and does not impact the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a conflict if you use O365 and Proofpoint, if one removes a bad email, it does not tell the other product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve embedded URLs, attachments, and spoofed emails.

What do you like best about the product?
The granular controls and settings over email. If there is a business email need... Proofpoint has a solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Selfishly I would love to see 1 feature that doesn't exist that I submitted a feature request for and that is domain age reputation. Emails coming from a domain of a newer age <> would be subject to Proofpoint's security controls up to and including quarantining for manual analysis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automatic triaging and filtering of emails for malicious content both inbound and outbound. Before the platform was installed we would have respond and remediate several business email compromised (BEC) accounts per month, since we've integrated Proofpoint over 2 years ago there was an immediate reduction of 95% in BEC, and none in the last 8 months.

Don't hesitate, you won't regret the decision.

What do you like best about the product?
Tech support has been very good when needed. When we require something out of the ordinary they usually are able to show us a feature or rule that will do exactly what we want. The protect/spam filtering has been excellent. Few false positives and a major reduction of the number of spam that does get in.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had very few complaints from the users but early on multi-language support was weak. This has been improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Proofpoint for spam filtering, malware protection, attachment filtering, data protection, and blocking inbound and outbound personal information. We are still on prem for email and there was a noticeable bandwidth reduction when we joined Proofpoint. We have seen a reduction to near zero in the number of attacks our end point protection has to block. Our on prem email servers are much more protected since we only allow inbound and outbound traffic with Proofpoint. Down time has never happened.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend the time during implementation to get the full advantages and fully utilize their expertise and experience. Don't make the mistake of just "getting it working". The Proofpoint service has so much more to offer.

What do you like best about the product?
The product works well. The product detects email threats and blocks them and does a much better job than other products on the market. The feature set of the product is always expanding with value-added features for the money.

Proofpoint Email Security and Protection is a great product that just works. The product is also very flexible, allowing us to create custom rules as needed for our environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface / GUI could use some updating. Also it would be great to have some sort of a user tutorial to assist with learning the complex system at first for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems we are solving with Proofpoint Email Security and Protection are Email threat protection, Spam filtering and virus detection. We also use Proofpoints TAP link protection system and attachment scanning and that works great as well.

This product also assisted us to meet client requirements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
More new user training material would be great.

What do you like best about the product?
The seamless integration between all Proofpoint solutions provides a single source for messaging security. From Targeted attack protection to large file transfer or DMARC reporting they have you covered.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see the ability to whitelist domain if they pass DMARC checks. The tools has excellent DMARC reporting but this additional option would go a long way to securing our environment. Beyond that, I don't have many things I dislike in general the tool has been worth its weight in gold.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The solution is set and forget very little maintenance is necessary with the team of professionals they have on the back end.

Get all the features you will not regret it. DMARC, TAP, SPAM, TRAP, ETC
