Great Product and Great Support
What do you like best about the product?
This product is feature rich which means it can be involved to administer. The support crew at Proofpoint help out immensely with it

EEHHH nothing really. Every Product has quirks this one is great. Just learn it from the ground up
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are implementing external tagging which may not seem like much but proofpoint lets you really get granular with rules and policy routes to get the exact features for each email you need.
Efficient and Secure Product
What do you like best about the product?
I am in love with the TAP Dashboard for how simply it is to navigate and how efficient it is to get through the actions you need to take.
I also like the TRAP server for emails recall and quarantine, it is super useful tool to have.

What do you dislike about the product?
The proofpoint Admin console to set rules ad policies is not the best I have to say. I would love to see a cleaner UI and navigation experience....sometimes it gets confusing. Also, the feature of being able to look up the emails body and forward the actual emails to someone from the Smart Search is a bit limiting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blocking Phishing emails for the company and preventing internal users identify to be stolen by blocking corrupted URL and so on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely a winning software for email protection. Worth to get a trial and test it out. Support and the Engagement team are awesome for the initial setup and troubleshooting issues.
Hands down the best email security company
What do you like best about the product?
The product does a fantastic job of keeping unwanted mail out! Their support team is very professional and extremely helpful and the product is extremely easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides of using Proofpoint is that their support will not help you integrate other products, especially if they have their own offering of that type of product. I totally understand that from a business prospective, but other companies will help regardless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our email is secure and our users are protected, which is the ultimate goal of implementing this solution. A benefit that we realized comes from URL sand-boxing. Users can click an external URL and it will be sand-boxed, which can be extremely beneficial.

Use their support as they are extremely helpful.

Stable and Secure
What do you like best about the product?
Thwarts a lot of email security issues and it's the boss when it comes to email security. We never afraid when there are threats reported on the news
What do you dislike about the product?
The SMTP Messages queue does not "refresh" immediately to reflect the exact number of messages on queue
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hardly any spam, phish, viruses, email security issues reported on the news. The system is very secure and it has its own firewall which adds another layer of security

Very stable, no user intervention on software updates, everything just works on its own!
Enterprise email protection
What do you like best about the product?
Comprehensive solution. Reliability. Highly configurable. Fast delivery. Great anti-spam and anti-malware capabilites.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin interface is a little difficult to use and certain things are in not obvious places.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SPAM, Malware, viruses. PP also provides logging and audit trail.
Proofpoint is THE Email Security Solution
What do you like best about the product?
The product truly does it all. It covers every facet of email security (and more). Once configured it is extremely easy to manage and support helps you the rest of the way! The protections include everything from virus scanning, spoofing, imposter protection. One of my favorite parts of all of this is the "TAP" system which is actively analyzing new threats. The key feature worth noting in TAP is the "URL Rewriting" and the monitoring it does of that. If a user clicks a link in an email and gets through to the website, but later that email is deemed to be malicious...TAP will send you an alert making you aware of who and what they clicked on.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial configuration is extremely intense. It's a complex system with alot of moving parts. I would say professional services is a must for install. Outside of that, I really don't have any complaints to make.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint has given us an incredible layer of protection in our most vulnerable area. It thwarts extremely unique email situations and even when it misses something, we're able to go back and see exactly who and what happened. I live with much more peace of mind knowing that Proofpoint has our back.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to learn the system. It's extremely complex but it can do so much for you and your team. Proofpoint is releasing new features all of the time and I highly recommend keeping up on them and implementing them ASAP!
Proofpoint Stops Bad Guys
What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoint makes my job as an incident responder easier by stopping most of the bad stuff (nobody has 100% coverage) and makes it easy to find the bad stuff that does come through.
What do you dislike about the product?
Admin console has always seemed slow, but our sales engineer says a new version of the admin UI is coming soon to address some of those issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enterprise email protection.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to dedicate enough time and people to configure the solution appropriately for your organization. Going live quickly with a bad configuration is worse than going live late with a good one.
The best of the market, when configured properly
What do you like best about the product?
I love the effectiveness of the product, and that's not smoke. Simply put, this is the best product on the market, assuming you have not configured any bad/stupid rules. The threat intelligence behind the scenes is great, and I imagine has only improved since they purchased emerging threats a few years ago.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is a bit lacking. The interface is clunky, things that you would expect to do on one screen you can't do. Sometimes the search is weird, and items for next page are in weird spots.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simply put, we've been able to protect our end users from a lot of run of the mill email attacks. Ransomware, phishing attacks, and CEO spoofing attacks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is the best of the line, but make sure you have someone competent to manage the product. Bad mail rules will allow bad mail through.
I can rest well at night
What do you like best about the product?
We primary use Proofpoint for encrypting and Regulatory Compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation in the web interface is not ideal. Easy to get lost and have to open and close menus to see all options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No issues. Do wait to the last minute to renew your subscriptions. When the subscription expires, you are down and it is not a fast process to restore. Almost 5 days of downtime.

Once setup and configured, you can rest happy knowing you have this layer.
