What do you like best about the product?
It is a robust and well developed toolset for ensuring company email security.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is slow, and doing some unexpected things
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are replacing an Email security gateway solution with the Proofpoint email security solution suite, by doing that we are getting a robust and market leader solution for all of our needs.

We use Proofpoint as our main email gateway for all of our internal customers, preventing spam and phishing attempts whilst implementing routing policies

What do you like best about the product?
the Proofpoint core email protection product has consistently blocked a wide range of phishing, spam, and malware containing emails before reaching out users. This is important part of the email protection product and the quality has remained strong over time. Our email security team signs into the product on a daily basis and can administer the product easily without the need to implement additional proudcts, tools or add-ons.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the system flags legitimate emails as suspicious, which requires manual release of the email. This requires a user to login, search for the email and release, then follow up with user to confirm the email is accessible in their inbox. At times, feedback from the customer service team can take the entire SLA time for a response to be received.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
proofpoint core email protection provides protection against phishing, spam and malware. These are the biggest threats to our users since they heavily rely on email for their daily tasks. Blocking these threats at the Secure Email Gateway allows a reduced workload on our SOC team, email security team, as well as help desk teams. There are a lot of options to provide better visibility and reporting functions. We benefit by using a email security tool that works and is trusted by many organizations, and has a proven track record.

PS helpped us setup the policy and it's been very smooth.

There're few different admin portals, each requires its own SSO integration, wish just having 1 portal.

Email Security accuracy with minimal false positives

What do you like best about the product?
First the detection rates are top notch for both spam, phishing, and bulk email. Our users are not wasting time filtering through emails. The false positive rates are low and the system learns quicklyif we do get some. The URL detection is top notch and has protected us from a number of possible issues. The onboarding was great and support helped anytime we needed. Documentation was top notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the pricing and licensing structure is hard to deal with. New features are sometimes "addons" and not just added to main product. This can be a pain if you want those features. Some additional out of the box integrations with some of our email SAAS providers for tools would be welcomed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The amount of email that comes into our organization was out of control and having a stable filtering system helped us greatly in viewing the mail that matters.

PPD UI is slow and dated, sometimes it takes a long time to load areas of the dashboard.

How easy it is to navigate and get visibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
The false positives are sometimes hard to navigate. Some threats that are relatively obsure do not include explanation.

Helps us receive and review phishing reports
Catches malicious email attempts to our environment
Helps us identify and resolve those that made it in.

The Necessary Solution to Prevent Incoming Email Threats and Increase Security Posture.

What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoint Email Security and Protection has increased our overall security posture. The volume of malicious emails hitting every organization is significant, but Proofpoint filters out nearly 100% of malicious traffic. The onboarding of the service and DMARC implementation was simple and very much supported by Proofpoint engineers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, it would be better to have a single pane of glass for the different Proofpoint products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization had to find a new solution to combat the deluge of daily phishing attempts and malicious email attachments. With Proofpoint Email Security, we now have confidence that malicious emails are blocked at the perimeter or shortly after being received.
